I could understand if it was a private school that one of the parents wanted to attend but why are they punishing the child? I guess they're just following God's example, right?

Where in the Bible does it say that Christians are Godly people?

Sending a child to a private school that promotes homophobic bigotry is punishing the child by depriving it of a fair and balanced education. The parents should drop the lawsuit, do their child a favour, and send it to a school with policies that embody their own values.

Valid point, but the child was upset, missing her friends and such. There could have been an easier way, I think.

Well, I suppose the parents could have tried engaging in a theological debate with the school's governors to the effect of arguing that according to the tenets of Christianity, all people are designated as fallen depraved creatures aka sinners owing to the alleged fruit related failings of Adam & Eve. No sin is considered to hold an elevated status above others as being particularly heinous or unforgivable. Jesus himself is reported as saying "Why do you call me good. Only God is truly good" (Mark 10:18). If the school are going to exclude pupils on the grounds of sins of the parents, shouldn't they logically exclude all of their pupils?

Kind of the point of the post. I'd be willing to bet that most of the parents, if not all, have sinned in some way and since God continues to punish us all for the sin of Eve and Adam, they should punish all of those children too.

A great indicator that a future education there may be a distasteful environment for the child and the parents. Granted I disagree with the decision to remove the girl, I think this would be a great opportunity to send the child elsewhere.
