Hello.

I would like to know what Christianity and Islam say about the phoenix (also spelled phenix).

Do Christians and Muslims believe in such an immortal bird?

Or are you instantly labeled as an "infidel" if you believe in such a bird?

Is the phoenix mentioned in the Bible and in the Quran?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I cannot speak for all of Christianity, but I just think the phoenix is a fiery bird.

No more so than any other person would.

Depends on what you mean by "believe."

Not in the Bible. I do not believe it is in the Qur'an either.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Those lonely fishermen who believe that the fish bite at high tide left their rocks, and their places were taken by others, who were convinced that the fish bite at low tide." - Not sure if you're trolling! As far as Islam is concerned, no phoenixes here. There isn't even a word for 'phoenix' in Arabic. There is however a "mythical bird" in Arab mythology, which is denied by Islam. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "the ogre and the 'Anq'a' (mythical bird) do not exist".
