Was the Egyptian religion or was the Greek religion better?

Oden. But seriously Zeus is overrated.

This is semi-serious btw. It's something that seems strange to me. You'd think that entire species would cease to exist if other ones evolved from them."

Wrong, Constantine made the Holidays on the same day as the other holidays. Big deal, Atheists and Agnostics for some reason think that is relevant. If I declared that on October 31st we were going to celebrate thanksgiving, does that me thanksgiving is based off of Halloween? No.

It is relevant when so called christian holidays include pagan concepts.

Either you have given up, or you are still working on a mass copy and paste that can be refuted in one sentence.

There's many. Saturnalia for example(http://en.wikipedia.org...). It was held around the same time that was adopted as Christmas. Holly, mistletoe, and wreaths are apparently pagan symbols too. There's various others too on just christmas alone.

Oh my goodness...
Not to be rude, but I hate when people start this mess.
Simple answer: You say Christianity is based off of Pagan stuff. When I ask you for an example you say Holly, mistletoe, and wreaths. I will give you a new mustang if you chow me in the bible where it talks about Holly, mistletoe, and wreath! Lots of Christmas' traditions are not even in the bible for example: the three wise men.

Also, Say I buy a red car. 100 years later someone makes a holiday about me buying a red car. This holiday is to be celebrated on may 1st. Then 200 years later someone makes a holiday about me buying a blue car, and it is to be celebrated on may 1st. Does this change the fact that I bought a new car?

In the world's eyes today, Christmas is simply a holiday. I celebrate it because it is a tradition. Though, it is important to relies that Christmas is a time to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Quite frankly, your argument of me not celebrating is weak.

It's so commercialized it's ridiculous. Even atheists who know nothing about the background celebrate it.

The flood story - indeed Genesis 1-11 - was written as a polemic against the surrounding cultures' pagan religions.

This is pretty common knowledge amongst biblical scholars - even conservative ones.
