The increasing occurrence and severity of what are termed "natural disasters?

Does it remind you of something?

Try Matthew 24.

Yes, the paranoid delusions of those who are obsessed with Armageddon.
Marrying a 6 year old and waiting until she reaches puberty and maturity before having consensual sex is better than walking up to

Yes, but it is the severity and frequency that make for the important difference.

The flooding in the North of England, for example, is absolutely unprecedented, and some parts have been flooded out of house and home 3 times in two months.

Matthew 24 doesn't tell us to watch out for them happening, but to watch out for them happening noticeably worse and more often.

It is happening, and it's going to get worse.

We need to control global warming, but throughout the ages natural disasters have got severe and frequent then tailed off for a while. Those who use the not so good book to predict their version of the 'end times' are crazy!

Or the complacency of those too dumb to see what is happening.

Just because we are paranoid doesn't mean it is happening. We have increasing reason to be paranoid.

As Jesus said, just like before the flood, when people ignored it until it was too late, so many will ignore what is happening now until it is too late.

What you say reminds me of 2 Peter 3:4-6American Standard Version (ASV)

4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;

6 by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

Jesus predicted the 'end times' would take place during the life of his disciples, and he didn't get it right. Idiots have been predicting them ever since, and no doubt will still be doing so in centuries to come if Christianity is still practised!

Yes, the paranoid delusions of those who are obsessed with Armageddon.

Or the complacency of those too dumb to see what is happening.

So, what you're saying is that it's dumb not to ignore facts, facts such as those that would show "natural disasters" have been occurring for as long as the Earth has been in existence, it's only recently though that mankind has the technology to relay information of such occurrences across the planet in moments for the world to read and the hysterics to start. As well, with the number of people on the planet, many more are affected by disasters. This certainly does not in any way shape or form lead one to the conclusion of an impending Armageddon. Clearly, the origins of that are from ancient mythical religions and have been fueling hysterics for a long time, yet to be abated by dumb facts.

Speaking of complacency, have you not taken to the time to see the scientific solutions for early warning systems that detect and report events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc.? Should we instead pray to Jehovah to warn us of his wrath?

Just because we are paranoid doesn't mean it is happening. We have increasing reason to be paranoid.

No, you have increasing delusions to be paranoid.

As Jesus said, just like before the flood, when people ignored it until it was too late, so many will ignore what is happening now until it is too late.

The flood was not a natural disaster, it was God's cleansing of His incompetence.

What you say reminds me of 2 Peter 3:4-6American Standard Version (ASV)

What you say reminds me of the guy standing on the street corner holding a sign, "The End is Nigh!"

4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;

6 by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

And, there it is, the childishly, impotent and cowardly threat of the hysterical and deluded.

Its hard to claim its being ignored if its being reported.

We live in a smaller world now. What is news in New England is reported about 1000 miles away as part of current events. Sure, it seems like there are a lot, but this is natural for some one whose perspective is limited in scope to only their region. If you read world news, I assure you, there is, and always has been "strange" phenomenon regarding weather patterns all over the globe at any given time. "Unprecedented" is always unprecedented until a small group of old timers 20 years down the road muse about it on their porch as the record is broken again by just a few degrees, or days, or inches, or whatever.
Here we have an advocate for Islamic arranged marriages demonstrating that children can consent to sex.

I am reminded that the higher ups in various end times organisation never give up all their wealth.

There words say the end is upon us, their actions say, probably not.

To be Honest I don't think they started keeping records until really recently, therefore I wouldn't know how bad natural disasters were in the past, although I think the Ice age was pretty bad and almost wiped us all out.

Increasing "occurrence and severity" of so-called "natural disasters" are not something that would be merely "noticed". No, that doesn't cut it. There are scientific methods for determining exactly what is or is not a natural disaster, and there are scientific (statistical) means for determining relative increases or decreases in frequency.

For instance, quick examination of the chart "Relative annual energy release from earthquakes, magnitude 6 or greater, 1900-2010" on the following page reveals that there has been a relative DECREASE in 6.0+ magnitude seismic activity in the last 50 years when compared to the 60 years prior to 1960.

Oh I think, but I don't just limit my thinking to what I want to see and stop there, as you do.

Australia may well be the exception which proves the rule. It is a unique continent, and has more ocean on ether side of it (ignoring New Zealand) than any other landmass.

That and the Antarctic Vortex tend to stablise it's climate more than most.

Those who live in "Typhoon Alley" would not agree with that finding.

Nor would those who live in the Philippines, who know better.

I realise you aren't smart enough to read but the article mentions the pacific ocean (phillipines) and Typhoons are not cyclones but since you brought them up, now supply the scientific evidence that supports your claim of greater frequency and intensity.

I realise you aren't smart enough to read but the article mentions the pacific ocean (phillipines) and Typhoons are not cyclones but since you brought them up, now supply the scientific evidence that supports your claim of greater frequency and intensity.
Telling your lies is just what you do.

I've been waiting for him to claim that the new Miss Universe is his girlfriend/mistress/finance/wife.
Surrogate daughter/parrot perhaps?

If he's feeling a bit depressed, yes. Other than that, he'll probably shoot for the stars.

Why would I do that, I already have one, as you know.

All the claims I make on here are real, I leave the fantasy to you.

Simply has to do with the fact that 'natural disasters' are being reported in a more open style and that there are more and more humans on earth being affected by the same 'disasters' that happened before.

Why do people try to interpret religion into everything? The principals that people cannot explain the world around them don't really apply any more.. Like damn, read a book.... Which is not the Bible...

The increasing occurrence and severity of what are termed "natural disasters?

Does it remind you of something?

Try Matthew 24.

Natural disasters fluctuate like the weather. They also tend to be cyclic and related to weather conditions.
I doubt they will ever increase any more than summer or winter increases on this planet.
Any perceived increase would be due to an increase in reports of natural disasters not an increase in the disasters themselves. With all this modern technology today, the media reports travel a lot faster across the world than they did in the past. It creates an ILLUSION of increased disasters and MANY gullible people are fooled by the illusion because they compare the illusion with their self deceptions and get even more lost in their own fantasies of increasing disasters.
You are grasping at straws but feel free to grasp at anything you need to hold on to your fantasies about the end being near.
Your end comes on the day you die and no sooner than that.
The day of the death is the last day for every individual on this planet. That last day is not the same day for all humans. It is every day since many people die daily.
That last day is also the first day for many who are born on this planet every day.
Therefore the last day for many is also the first day for many.
The day you wake up to that FACT is the day you begin to be enlightened about the first being the last and the last being the first.
The future is no different to the past when it comes to tomorrow changing into today every day while always promising to come again soon.
The promise is fulfilled faster than the speed of light every day.
It is so fast that you miss it because you are so busy dreaming about the fantasy of your future that you forget to live in reality NOW.
