MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS OF THE LAST DAYS

"Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:7)

Millions of people have been killed in wars during the past century. One British historian wrote: "The 20th century was the most murderous in recorded history. . . . It was a century of almost unbroken war, with few and brief periods without organised armed conflict somewhere." A report from the Worldwatch Institute states: "Three times as many people fell victim to war in [the 20th] century as in all the wars from the first century AD to 1899." More than 100 million people have died as a result of wars since 1914. Even if we know the sorrow of losing one loved one in warfare, we can only imagine such misery and pain multiplied millions of times over.

"There will be food shortages." (Matthew 24:7)

Researchers say that food production has increased greatly during the past 30 years. Nevertheless, food shortages continue because many people do not have enough money to buy food or land on which to raise crops. In developing countries, well over a billion people have to live on an income of a dollar or less a day. The majority of these suffer from chronic hunger. The World Health Organization estimates that malnutrition plays a major role in the deaths of more than five million children each year.

"There will be great earthquakes." (Luke 21:11)

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, an average of 19 major earthquakes are expected per year. These are powerful enough to damage buildings and crack the ground. And on an average, earthquakes strong enough to cause total destruction of buildings have occurred yearly. Available records show that earthquakes have claimed over two million lives since 1900. One source states: "Improvements in technology have only slightly reduced the death toll."

"There will be . . . pestilences." (Luke 21:11)

Despite medical advances, old and new diseases plague mankind. One report says that 20 well-known diseases"including tuberculosis, malaria, and cholera"have become more common in recent decades, and some types of disease are increasingly difficult to cure by means of drugs. In fact, at least 30 new diseases have appeared. Some of them have no known cure and are fatal.

Aside from identifying certain world developments, the Bible foretold that the last days would be marked by a change in human society. The apostle Paul described what people in general would be like.

We are told: "In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here." (Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5.) Paul said that people would be:

lovers of themselves
lovers of money
disobedient to parents
disloyal
having no natural affection
without self-control
fierce
lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God
having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power

Have people become like that in your community? No doubt they have. There are people everywhere who have bad traits. This shows that God will soon act, for the Bible says: "When the wicked sprout like weeds and all the wrongdoers flourish, it is that they may be annihilated forever.(Psalm 92:7).

(Matthew 24:14:) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

WHAT DO THE FACTS SHOW? The Kingdom message is reaching all corners of the globe. In 2010 alone, Jehovah"s Witnesses spent over 1.6 billion hours proclaiming this good news in 236 lands. That is an average of 30 minutes in the preaching work each day by every Witness. Over the past decade, they have produced and distributed more than 20 billion items of Bible-education literature.

All Jesus asked us to do was love our fellow humans and love God.. Is that really such a outrageous request? It's standard procedure quite frankly..

Please visit https://www.jw.org... for accurate information regarding God, Jesus and Life in general..

"Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:7)

- That's not a prophecy, that's a general statement about the human political condition, which happens to be true.
=> Not even a prophecy.

"There will be food shortages." (Matthew 24:7)

- The likelihood of a prediction like this coming true is always 100%, otherwise you'd be supposing that there will never be food shortages, which is as unlikely as saying there will never be food, which has 0% chance of happening for humans on this Earth.
=> Undeniable, but not a prophecy.

"There will be great earthquakes." (Luke 21:11)

- Again, such a prediction is always 100% likely, i.e. always true. Earthquakes are recurrent disasters with varying degrees of magnitude. The more damaging an earthquake is, the greater it is. Saying, there will be great earthquakes, is like saying there will be great mountains, or tall people...
=> Undeniable, but not a prophecy.

"There will be . . . pestilences." (Luke 21:11)

- Same as before, predicting that there will be diseases is predicting a event of 100% of happening, for otherwise you'd be assuming there will be no diseases, thus no deaths, which has 0% chance of happening.
=> Undeniable, but not a prophecy.

(Matthew 24:14:) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

- This is the only one so far that may actually mean something. While in a small group in the 1st century predicting that the teachings will preached around the world, which is unlikely to come true. However, some of that unlikelihood can be explained by the nature of universal religions. So, it's not enough to call it an actual undeniable prophecy.

Has always been happening, doesn't require divine knowledge to predict the continuation of.

We can predict earthquakes with greater accuracy than this with human knowledge, in this case man is greater than a supposed god.

These have always existed and modern human knowledge is eradicating some diseases Jesus couldn't, again man is greater than a supposed god.

Again, this his always been the case, no divine inspiration here.

The bible HASN'T been preached to all nations, and now some nations have been eradicated. Also, this can be a self or man fulfilled prophecy and so has no persuasive value.

All Jesus asked us to do was love our fellow humans and love God.. Is that really such a outrageous request? It's standard procedure quite frankly..

Worshiping this god requires taking part in a blood sacrifice, something that I find abhorrent. It'll take a lot more than this to convince me it's true, let alone go against my moral sensibilities.

A report from the Worldwatch Institute states: "Three times as many people fell victim to war in [the 20th] century as in all the wars from the first century AD to 1899." More than 100 million people have died as a result of wars since 1914.

Loving God will inspire us to follow righteousness standards such as:"Love, Honour, Dignity, Loyalty, Humility, Integrity..

If you do not admire such qualities then.. Pray, alot..

So why do the JW disfellowshipped and shun members when they should be loving and forgiving all?

The JW's forgive people indefinitely if they apologize for their actions.. But if someone does something wrong and is not at all sorry.. That's when you get disfellowshipped.

And that's when the JW's advice you not to associate with the disfellowshipped person because they will obviously be a bad influence..

The JW's are not perfect my friend.. We are imperfect men and women just like everyone else... Just a group of people trying to seek a peaceful and loving world..

MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS OF THE LAST DAYS

"Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:7)

- That's not a prophecy, that's a general statement about the human political condition, which happens to be true.
=> Not even a prophecy.

- Well, the verse didn't say: "in so & so centuries, there will be deaths from wars more numerous than ever before" or something like that. It said, "nations will rise against nations...", which has been happening constantly across the world since forever.

- Earthquakes evidently vary in degree, which means there are always greater & smaller earthquakes, thus there is always such as: "great earthquake", the same way there is always such a thins as: "great mountain".

But the population continues to grow. We are now at 7 billion world population and growing. Wars are not an effective population control mechanism. We need God's help like mass natural disasters and more JW praying to increase the rate.

"There will be food shortages." (Matthew 24:7)

Researchers say that food production has increased greatly during the past 30 years. Poverty not food shortage is the problem.

Earthquakes are less effective at killing people than guns and bullets.

Why did we even bother to find cures for diseases when it was thwarting God's plan to bring about an early destruction of the world.

Aside from identifying certain world developments, the Bible foretold that the last days would be marked by a change in human society. The apostle Paul described what people in general would be like.

Not true, people are more afraid of Islamic terrorists than greedy, corrupt pleasure seekers.

(Matthew 24:14:) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So the JW by preaching the gospel to all nations throughout the world are in effect bringing the end closer.
Read below the effort the JW are putting to spread the gospel. Should they be stopped if we are to save the world?

WHAT DO THE FACTS SHOW? The Kingdom message is reaching all corners of the globe. In 2010 alone, Jehovah"s Witnesses spent over 1.6 billion hours proclaiming this good news in 236 lands. All Jesus asked us to do was love our fellow humans and love God.. Is that really such a outrageous request? It's standard procedure quite frankly..

It was his apocalyptic message that got him killed. Disrupting business at the temple, calling the high priests foul names. Jesus was put to death by the Jews for his blasphemous lies claiming that he was their messiah and king. Jesus suffered from delusions and messianic aspirations.
But he was not the only apocalyptic prophet in the bible. The Jews produced one for every new generation. It appears the JW have continued the tradition.

Please visit https://www.jw.org... for accurate information regarding God, Jesus and Life in general..

The JW have a 100 years of failed prophesies. When are they going to quit lying?
