Human efforts to bring world peace have failed and will continue to fail for several reasons:

"It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." (Jeremiah 10:23) Humans weren"t created with the ability or the right to rule themselves, so they won"t be able to achieve enduring peace.

"Don"t put your trust in human leaders; no human being can save you. When they die, they return to the dust; on that day all their plans come to an end." (Psalm 146:3, 4, Good News Translation) Government leaders, even those with the best motives, can"t devise lasting solutions for the root causes of war.

"In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be . . . fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride." (2 Timothy 3:1"4) We live in "the last days" of the present wicked world, a time when prevailing attitudes make peace difficult.

"Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time." (Revelation 12:12) The Devil, God"s enemy, has been confined to the vicinity of the earth and motivates people to adopt his vicious spirit. As long as he is "the ruler of this world," we can never live in peace."John 12:31.

"[God"s Kingdom] will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms [that oppose God], and it itself will stand to times indefinite." (Daniel 2:44) God"s Kingdom, not any human government, will satisfy our desire for permanent world peace."Psalm 145:16.

Peace on earth will come, not by human efforts, but by means of God"s Kingdom, a heavenly government ruled by Christ Jesus. Notice how the Bible teaches us about this wonderful hope.

God will make "wars to cease to the extremity of the earth," fulfilling his promise to bring "peace on earth to those with whom he is pleased!""Psalm 46:9; Luke 2:14, Good News Translation.

God"s Kingdom will rule from heaven over the entire earth. (Daniel 7:14) As a world government, it will eliminate nationalism, which is at the root of many conflicts.

Jesus, the Ruler of God"s Kingdom, is called the "Prince of Peace," and he will ensure that "to peace there will be no end.""Isaiah 9:6, 7.

People determined to keep fighting will not be allowed to live under the Kingdom, since "anyone loving violence [God"s] soul certainly hates.""Psalm 11:5; Proverbs 2:22.

God teaches his subjects how to live in peace. Describing the results of this instruction, the Bible says: "They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.""Isaiah 2:3, 4.

Already, millions of Jehovah"s Witnesses around the world are learning from God how to be peaceable. (Matthew 5:9) Although we belong to many different ethnic groups and live in over 230 different lands, we refuse to take up arms against our fellow man.

(Matthew 24:14:) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The Kingdom message is reaching all corners of the globe. In 2010 alone, Jehovah"s Witnesses spent over 1.6 billion hours proclaiming this good news in 236 lands. Over the past decade, they have produced and distributed more than 20 billion items of literature.

Your God is not coming to save you. That's something we have to figure out and do for ourselves.

It is because we live in the illusion of duality. We believe there is a war between good and evil. This is not true. Any separation from God is an illusion. Until we understand this, we will not find peace, and yes, God is not coming to save us. That would be interfering with our free will.

World peace is not elusive.
All the dearly departed have found it. Take a look in any graveyard. Are its occupants fighting or are they resting in peace in this world in spite of what goes on around them?

You want to rest in world peace? The solution is obviously to kill everyone and then kill yourself and all will rest in world peace for ever and the believers of life in heaven will all go to the heavens they dream about and live happily ever after.

To kill or not to kill is the question. If it ultimately brings world peace. Why not?

I understand you disagreeing with the points. But it's a outright lie to call the Jehovah's Witnesses "unpleasant". They are some of the sweetest people on earth lol.. We just want to live in a loving, peaceful world where people display qualities such as:

Love, Honour, Dignity, Loyalty, Humility, Integrity, and most importantly help out your fellow humans.

Religion, skin colour, wealth, beauty, power etc are irrelevant. Your heart is all that matters.

Not the evil muppets I have encountered. I was told my Down's Syndrome son would have been better off dead than have a life saving blood transfusion when he was 16 months old! How many JWs have died because of that evil dogma?
