Santa Claus has no religion founded after his historical life. Besides, the Bible predicted what would happen and oh look. It is.

Prophecy in Action:

"This message came to me concerning Damascus: "Look, the city of Damascus will fall. It will become a heap of ruins."
(Isaiah 17:1)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk...

"But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image."
(Revelation 19:20)

Islam has a great, infallable prophet. He denies the deity of Christ in the Quran.

They also bow to an image.

"But every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming."
(1 John 4:3)

Muhammed denounced Jesus in the Quran and led a religion into an anti Jesus religion that hates Christians.

Quran-
"They say: "Become Jews or Christians if ye would be
guided (to salvation)." Say thou: "Nay! (I would
rather) the Religion of Abraham, the True, and he
joined not gods with Allah."

[Quran 2:135]

"Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was
true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah's."

"No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along
with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god
would have taken away what he had created, and some
would have Lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He
is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to
Him!"

[Quran Al Mu"minuun:91]

Jesus is not a God, but he is only one of God"s
prophet (like: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and
Muhammad):

"They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son
of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel!

[Quran Al Maidah:72]

Do you reject the Tooth Fairy because you don't want it to exist?
If you wanted it to exist would your strong desire cause it to exist?

Go back to dreaming your dreams. Obviously you have no desire to wake up to reality.

No accountability? Really? Christians are the ones who want no accountability. They want to be forgiven with no effort on their part. Your God promises this.

No character with supernatural powers ever has a historical life and actually walked this Earth either. You are gullible if you believe a mythical character was ever historical.

All gods are humans creations. There are thousands of them.

Believing one is real and the rest are mythical is sheer stupidity because they are all as mythical as each other.

Religious historians are biased toward their mythical characters. There is no real evidence that any man with supernatural powers ever existed on planet Earth.

The Earth is constantly changing due to natural forces. People on Earth are constantly changing due to new knowledge and understanding of life. However, it is a sad thing to see so many choose to remain stuck in ancient superstitions and traditions of idol worship as they try to appease mythical characters.
It seems that becoming mentally mature is a choice and very FEW choose to put away foolish childish superstitions and beliefs in invisible gods.
Very FEW seem to want to accept the TRUTH that all gods are humans creations. The gods are merely personifications of various forces of nature and aspects of human emotions and attitudes.

Atheists are by definition those who reject beliefs in gods, Bronto -- not those who want gods to not exist, since some of the latter might be theists or agnostics.

But regarding a liking for the idea of gods, it's mixed. Some atheists say they'd like to believe in gods, and would like gods to exist.

For myself though, I cannot conceive a circumstance under which I'd want to worship a metaphysical being, even if a wondrous being manifested, demanding it. In fact, if such a being wanted to waft about, paternalistically exercising supernatural power to order human affairs, I'd want to ask it the five questions asked by former British politician Tony Benn:
1. What power do you have?
2. Where did you get it?
3. In whose interests do you exercise it?
4. To whom are you accountable? and finally
5. How can we get rid of you?

Any authority who cannot answer all five questions is a tyrant; anyone who worships such a being supports a tyrant also.

He's claimed to be omnioptent. Seeing He doesn't make anyone worship Him, that seems pretty restrained and fair seeing many even include the mocking of Him.

If someone wants left alone, a debate forum is probably not a great place to reside often.

That is true, and I personally enjoy debate and think it is important but it's a religion debate board and you would think that Christians would be more interested in taking the opportunity to share the good news rather than harass those who aren't interested in that good news. Casting the pearls before the proverbial swine, no insult intended, atheists.

Besides I found myself and others not really debating religion as much as just incapable of comprehending why "them" and "us" don't think alike. Like they owe us that.

I don't like doing that, for my part. I wouldn't presume to tell anyone else how to post, I'm just observing and speaking for myself. I'm going to do Bible stuff and if the atheists introduce criticism about the beliefs important to me we can debate, but I'm not going to bother them anymore.

I don't think omnipotence is meaningful, Bronto, but if it were then surely it should include an ability that even humans can demonstrate: the ability to ensure that people are left alone.

Yay or Ney?!?

Do you reject the Tooth Fairy because you don't want it to exist?
If you wanted it to exist would your strong desire cause it to exist?

Go back to dreaming your dreams. Obviously you have no desire to wake up to reality.

You must have ignored the prophecies vs reality completely. Atheists say they want proof. Do they? I'm not convinced.

Besides, the toothfairy has no religion based off of its historical life.

Mature adults do not worship mythical characters.
Superstitious gullible adults do.

Jesus wasn't an invented character. He's a part of history unless you want to argue with historians. He changed the Earth more than any man who ever lived.

Even atheist historians say he was a historical figure, unlike the spaghetti mpnster, the tooth fairy, santa claus, etc
Find a historian who claims the magic man Jesus of the bible is an historical figure.

You have been left alone. Did God contact you?

Religion is a construct of populist magical thinking, David. And populism fosters sanctimony, for both political and psychological reasons.

Find an Atheist who can explain away the kalam cosmological argument, fulfilled prophecies, and the firmi paradox.
