Younger generations are growing increasingly less likely to be religious. Not only is there a decrease in religion in each younger generation, the ones that are religious are losing their religion at increasingly fast rates.

Why is this?

I think it is partially because of the information age. Does Noahs ark sound ridiculous? Google it. Have there been any known instances of snakes or donkeys actually talking? Google it. Does it seem strange that an all loving god would command someone to stab and burn their son's body in an act of human sacrifice to "test" them? Google it.

No matter what their parents tell them, younger people are getting the other side of the argument and the answer is obvious.

Eventually, it will reach a tipping point. When more younger people are armed with the non-theist arguments, many theists will be ashamed at speaking out because they will know how ridiculous they sound in an argument. Just like the Mormons don't discuss their underwear in public, Christians wont discuss silly bible stories in public either.

There's millions of new religions developing each year but no one thinks of them as religious groups who gather around a new false god that is built with human hands. The leader of every religious group has gotten plans in his mind to build a new false god. That leader is generally exalted among the religious group.

In the Apple company alone are many various religious groups who exalt the various designers of the new toys they develop in their minds first, then written down as plans.

Actually in the next new decades the percent of people who are Christian will hold strong at about 30%. The percent of people who are non-religious will drop from 16% to 13%. Sure religion is shrinking in the US but the US is only .3 billion out of 7 billion.

True, the internet will probably make religions irrelevant, my guess would be after about 300 years. Any society or country that either prohibits or censors the internet in any way are the places that know this to be true.

a stranger in a bar and proceeding to have relations with no valid proof of the intent of the person. Muhammad wins. ~ Fatihah
