The following scripture claims to be a direct command from God, spoken to Moses and Aaron:

Leviticus 15:19-24

"R39;When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening. If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean."

Here is a good link further describing what the Bible says about menstruation:

It is inconceivable that God could have attitudes toward normal feminine biology that would be disgustingly backwards when compared to contemporary mores. But, to be a Christian, you must accept this fact or concede that this part of the Bible is in error. Of course, the exceedingly more likely explanation is that this piece of garbage was written by an intellectually-challenged misogynist.
"I don't need experience.to knock you out. I'm a man. that's all I need to beat you and any woman."

Fatihah, in his delusion that he could knock out any woman while bragging about being able to knock me out. An example of 7th century Islamic thinking inspired by his hero the paedophile Muhammad.

You 're missing the point.

That excerpt essentially says:

"Always use condom during those days, because it's gross"

Why do you call it an obsession? It was a heath command and was more to do with the menstrual blood than any other aspect of her cycle.

They didn't have tampons and sanitary towels in those days, especially not in the desert.

Menstruation is not unhealthy at all. It's perfectly natural. The extent to which God commands men to avoid menstruating women is illogical. The bible contains no useful health advice whatsoever.

Time for the hammer on this and
attacks on the character of god.

If a perfect entity exists we cannot in
any way judge it's character because
it is infinitely one way or another.

We are like finite numbers.

You cannot describe infinity in any
way with finite numbers except for
that infinity is infinitely larger or better
(blah blah you know what i mean) than them.

Ok so, you being up there.

You allow people to die.

You are evil.

No, it is not.

There is a reason, we cannot
understand such an entity's logic and
reasoning because we are imperfect
and biased.

You don't know much abut menstrual blood then do you? It is even worse than "normal" bleeding as far as health risks go. Not least because of all the dead womb cells mixed n with it.

Comes to something when a mere male has to teach you the basic facts about menstrual blood, lol.

Again you see what you wish to see and look no further.

So you believe your god as usual. I'm not surprised. You haven't taught me anything. Unlike you I have personally experienced it. It's perfectly normal and happens on a monthly basis. It's not unhealthy and does not require the silly things said in the old testament. Unclean for 7 days for having sex with a menstruating woman! hahahaha utter b.s!

Boy I'd sure feel unclean for 7 days. Yuckers. Ever consider God just knows how gross it is, and gave a good practical warning that doesn't damn anyone? Think if they didn't bathe back then, and the guy comes back for seconds just as her stuff is supposed to be getting all spruced up for the coming month. YUCK!! Why are you even bringing this up? Its confirmed gross by modern science and everything. People were scientifically confirming that since before science.

Why is a natural bodily function gross? I'm bringing up the subject to show how poorly informed the bible writers were. They did not have any communications with God if silly things like this are included.

Why do you call it an obsession? It was a heath command and was more to do with the menstrual blood than any other aspect of her cycle.

Explain how shaking hands with or moving a chair that a woman in menses sat in some how makes me "unclean", such to the fact I would be unclean for a day.

They didn't have tampons and sanitary towels in those days, especially not in the desert.

Not as we know them. Women have been menstruating for like... a long time, you know that, right?

Nowadays it would not.

In the heat of the desert the whole of the char could become a source of, infection.

However you are ignoring two things:

1: the real purpose of the law.

2: the true nature of uncleanness in Jehovah's eyes.

Let's look at:

1: The main purpose of the law was to teach Jews of their need for the Messiah, and of the penalties for sin.

Another purpose was to teach Israel, and all of us in time, the futility of leaning on a strict written code.

For both of those reasons it was often exaggerated, extreme, or both in nature.

Whilst it all had some practical purpose it was never intended to be 100% practical. The case of menstruation is a case in point. How could it be practical to have the woman of the house nothing more than an ornament for the entire length of her menstruation?

2: A written, rigid code leaves no room for mercy if adhered to 100%. It also removes the need for thought since it is there, in black and white in front of their eyes.

Being under principle as we are now encourages, even makes mandatory, thinking about ones actions and put the responsibility for them squarely on the shoulders of the one doing them

It should be obvious to any who know Judaism is that to this day they have failed to take any of those main lessons on board.

The Mosaic Law, whilst no longer in operation as a rigid code, still teaches us much about the principles involved in living Jehovah's way, which is the best way for all in all circumstances..

Absolutely true, and most of that without any form of sanitary wear whatever, let alone hygienic means of disposal.

For many centuries a drip and wash-down was the only method of hygiene they had, which inevitably led to "accidents" with highly contaminated menstrual blood.

On a slight tangent Whenever I hear about menstruation, I think about the view point of 16th century French women.

When on the "wrong week" they would tell their friends that they were being "visited by the English", lol. Say it all really doesn't it. They obviously viewed the English as unclean and p pain in the lower regions, lol.

You are welcome to point out where I have scoffed at God. Of course you already know my beliefs on JW's. Watered down Islam. Rejection of Christ's divinity.

Which is precisely how you scoff at God, as well as his people.

The JWs do not deny Christ's divinity.

The problem is that people like you don't know what "divinity" actually is.

According to scripture all spirit beings, whether Jehovah himself, his only begotten son, the Angels, faithful and unfaithful are all called gods and therefore all divine.

The other thing you do not understand is the truth relationship between Jehovah and his only begotten son, though scripture is very clear about it.

There is a distinct hierarchy in heaven, and it goes like this:

First we have Jehovah, the God and creator of all.

Then we have his only begotten son, his only solo creation.

Then we have the Angels who were created by Jehovah through his son.

Then we have man, created first and given the responsibility to care for the earth and all on it, especially his wife who was created second.

Jehovah's only begotten son, AKA Michael, AKA the Word, is in charge of the Angels because he is Jehovah's only begotten son. The only one Jehovah created all on his own, which give him seniority over them.

That is how the Bible reveals it.

Every time you make more of his only begotten son than should be, you insult both of them. His son never claimed equality with his father, he even acknowledged his father, Jehovah, as his God. He wouldn't even allow himself to be called "good" because he said only his father was.

The trinity teaching calls him a liar, and his father also.

Every time you attack his people on earth you prove yourself a fighter against Jehovah's arrangement through his son, now the Christ and his reigning King.

I have studied both Islam and true Christianity, and find no equality between the two whatever, they are chalk and cheese as the saying goes.

Islam does not teat women with the respect Jesus did, or the JWs do.

Islam does not draw people to the one true God Jehovah as Christ did and the JWs do.

Islam degrades Jesus, The JWs do not, they place him exactly where he and the Apostles did.

The JWs teach, easily demonstrably, exactly what Christ and the Apostles did.

There is not one meeting point between Islam and the JWs.

Trinitarian beliefs are closer than the JWs beliefs, because they have the same source, Satan.

I suggest you learn what you are talking about before you criticise what you obviously do not know, the JWs and the God they worship as well as the son they follow and imitate.

When on the "wrong week" they would tell their friends that they were being "visited by the English", lol. Say it all really doesn't it. They obviously viewed the English as unclean and p pain in the lower regions, lol. Makes you proud to be English, lol, not that I am truly any more.

You seem to enjoy arguing from a position of ignorance.

Oh? Then it should be easy for you to find sources that denote menstrual blood as some how more hazardous than any other discharge of such a nature.
Here we have an advocate for Islamic arranged marriages demonstrating that children can consent to sex.

The following scripture claims to be a direct command from God, spoken to Moses and Aaron:

Leviticus 15:19-24

Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening. If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean."

Why is a natural bodily function gross?
Do I need to explain lol? There's all sorts of gross body functions and that's one of them, especially if you don't clean yourself.

I'm bringing up the subject to show how poorly informed the bible writers were. They did not have any communications with God if silly things like this are included.
Wisdom is found where the wise seek it.

I really feel sorry for you and your gender. Since you have joined DDO you have steered the conversation to primitive sex, churches outdated missionary position and now women's private parts and their personal hygiene. If that is what women want to draw attention to, it is appealing to the primitive base instincts of men.

Why can't you talk about love, literature, poetry, family, intellectual pursuits and how different the modern woman is from the one who first succumbed to temptation and dragged Adam with her into the world of depravity and sin? All you are doing is waving a different fruit or piece of flesh, but the goal is the same. Shame on you, thy name is woman.

That would be harsh. God gave her a mouth so she can use it for more more than one thing. How about singing instead of bitching for example?
