Why doesn't God do miracles any more?

By miracle, I don't mean the kind when your aunt Mary had a bunion but it went away after her prayer group rubbed anointing oil on it and spoke in tongues. Nor do I mean the kind when you hear a voice in your head telling you he's watching you or simply that something good happened to you. I mean the burning, talking bush and walking on water kind.

The catholic church purports many miracles such as bleeding statues, the image of a virgin appearing on toast, levitating priests, people bleeding from palms, etc, etc.

Muslims claim miracles also: https://wikiislam.net...

Hindus claim miracles: https://en.wikipedia.org...

Of course, non-Catholic Christians claim miracles also.

Either they are all lying or God finds all religions equally acceptable, which means the details in the religions are equally false.

Regardless, why doesn't a talking bush get on international television and announce God is real? I realize this is ludicrous but why is it any more ludicrous than the current claims?

Yeah, those were so not similar in nature to the ones I presented.

The first 2 were predicted events witnessed by believers and non-believers alike.

The last one is a physical recovery that defies logic. There are many physical ones, but I just chose one that came to memory.

Why do you assume God ever performed "miracles"?

Isn't it more logical to assume that God has never performed miracles than to assume that God performed them at one time, but stopped?

Here's my question: why would God ever defy the reality that God, himself, has already predetermined? To do so presupposed that an omnipotent mind changes and contradicts itself, occasionally. And that's not logical.

I don't assume there is any god that performed miracles. Rather than argue about an image on toast being divine intervention or not, I am merely saying that religious people have to concede that other religious make similar claims with just as much "proof". This would imply that there is no effective difference between what religion you follow if they were true at all.
