The "evolution debate" is not about theism vs. atheism. It is about science vs. pseudoscience.

As opposed to what? If you know something we don't know, please explain.

Remember, you cant just say 'God did it' because there are many people that believe that God fueled evolution. Do you have a reasonable alternative?

Would it help to consider why people who believe in a created, designed, supervised, morally-ordered universe, nevertheless also accept evolution?

They don't care about ToE or what it intends to establish. In other words, lack of knowledge.

What is knowledge, and why do you believe you serve it, rather than seeking to dictate it?

Alright, we will start a new thread about knowledge.

As for the dictatorship, It can't suppress curious minds. I don't want the curiosity to die .. curiosity to know about ourselves. That to me is more important than anything else.

Evolution or Darwinism? There's a difference.

The fossil record refuted Darwinism long ago. It has been pushed by militant atheists, but the fossil record objects to it in such extreme fashion that now the New Age Atheist movement is taking the stance "you don't need the fossil record to prove Darwinism..."

Good luck to them with that...

Many atheists are so because they made an intelligent, researched, balanced choice. Other atheists are so simply out of ignorance or rejection of religion.

Quoting from extremely biased sources is not going to win any argument. You might want to consider that many atheists are so simply because of ignorance or rejection of religion. If you are trying to push an argument to refute evolution you will have to do much better than that.

I was not entirely accurate, 94% are evolutionist and 5% are creationist.

So its more like 500,000 atheist creationists.

While perusing this list of statistics, I found myself perplexed at this point and beyond:

Belief in God among atheists
% of atheist who say they...

Believe in God; absolutely certainty - 2%
Believe in God; fairly certain - 3%
Believe in God; not too/not at all certain - 2%
Believe in God; don't know - <1%
Do not believe in God - 92%
Other/don't know if they believe in God - 1%

What the heck was their criteria for determining "atheist" in order to parse the poll results?? Was it people who self-identified as atheists, even if they were utterly wrong about what it means (as per the first category, above)?? Of what use is this poll if the there is no established criteria to serve as the basis for correctly parsing the data into the appropriate demographic categories? I must be missing something, here... :/

We'll need you to explain 100+ million year old creatures caught in amber who still look identical today. At that rate it'll be hard to get Denise Richards from goo in 500 million years. Heck, at that rate you can't even get a tick.
