Response: The scripture that is the true word of God. That is for you to use logic and reason and figure out what scripture is the true word of God. For me, I have figured it out. That is the Qur'an and the religion of Islam.

What logic and reason is in the Koran? I have never read it, so I am in the dark on your book.

Response: The Qur'an is simply a book that tells us that you cannot attain to righteousness and peace without sacrifice. If you build your life on prayer and fasting and charity and modesty, it will guide you to the best happiness and peace of mind. Don't believe me? Try it. Spend the rest of your day not focused on the things you like and want, but focus on making those around you and everyone you meet better. See what it does to you emotionally and psychologically.

One problem with this idea might be time. Is 70 to 90 (or less) years enough time for one to figure it out on their own?

What exactly might we be left to figure out for ourselves?

Of course, that's part of it...to be involved. One step further beyond curiosity though, I call it application.
