One religious argument against transsexualism is that you are perverting the temple (your body) that God gave you, and so on. But how is this different from wearing bracers? That is also a body modification. It is also mostly done for aesthetical reasons, and not because it's needed in order to spare a life.

Jov you have a rogue R in the word braces, but regardless you are right. Their god will punish me for having his loving cancer removed as well.

They should, but I promise you, they will answer the cancer question with that all cancers are either results of how Adam corrupted mankind or man-made cancers such as lung cancer by smoking. God didn't stop this but in some fuzzy way he is still not responsible for this.

Unaligned teeth however are not lethal at all. But I guess theists will conveniently blame this at Adam too.

Has Monty Python made a joke about this?

No sorry, it comes from Faulty Towers and the quote is "don't mention the war" when they have German guests and Basil struts a Nazi march with his finger as a mustache.
But there is more to it, the skit is hilarious.

The teeth of the mouth are ideally oriented to being in the shape that orthodontics adjusts them into. Them not being in that orientation is a minor defect. Braces correct that situation. While some aspects of orthodontics are purely cosmetic, however conditions such as overbites or underbites, incorrect jaw position and disorders of the jaw joints can be corrected. These problems can result in tooth decay, gum disease, headaches, earaches, as well as speaking, biting or chewing problems.

Thus orthodontics are a corrective procedure to align the teeth to what nature intended they should be. Transsexualism distorts the natural order of your sexuality.

Easy to say and yet I see zero evidence of your assertion.

Hmm. How about surgeries against things like:

* Protruding ears
* Abnormally high difference in between the female breasts
* Male circumcision without phimosis as a reason

Or just a benign face deformation somehow which makes the possessor of it feel bad about himself?

* Protruding ears

More of a societal issue than a medical necessity. There is nothing immoral about it as it does not alter the proper natural functioning of the ear. One is not doing it to be noticed, but rather to not be made fun of. In reality the problem is a society that would make fun of people for a small variance in appearance.

* Abnormally high difference in between the female breasts

Vive la difference!

* Male circumcision without phimosis as a reason

There are a variety of medical benefits to circumcision, thus it is not strict mutilation. Do the benefits outweigh the action? It is a decision that has to be made, and one cannot be sure.

Or just a benign face deformation somehow which makes the possessor of it feel bad about himself?

Not sure what you meant here.

God expected perfection from Adam and punished him dearly for disappointing. No reason why humans should not strive for perfection after discovering God created us with other imperfections as well.

God apparently thought it was hilarious to give us more teeth than could fit in our mouths. Many people will have their upper wisdom teeth removed at some point in their lives. By doing so they are perverting the temple which God gave them.
