Seriously, how did Noah fit all the animals onto the Ark? That would have took a very long time to collect all those butterflies including monarch butterflies. How did he know which sex all the animals were? What if he got two male rabbits? All I can say is the people of ancient times were very capable. Extraordinary in fact.

The Ark was like 20000 x 50000 x 10000 miles big, plenty of room, and then some.
Bronto?
Congrats.

He didn't need to fit all the animals we have today on board, only representative kinds. Speciation can happen very quickly resulting in the variations that we have today. Scripture says that God sent the animals to Noah so Noah didn't have to determine the gender. Butterflies and other insects could easily survive the flood on floating vegetation and did not need to be in the ark.

One answer:
TARDIS

Seriously, once I can accept that an invisible God created everything from nothing, the idea of a miracle allowing all the animals to arrive, coexist and survive doesn't seem that far out.

You are right of course, once you believe in Santa, the idea that one jolly fat man can go down 200 million chimney's in one night and not get himself shot becomes rather obvious.

You only need to keep a pair of each species. The evolution of adaptations based on their migrations to different environmental pressures will recreate the diversity seen today.

You need to be super stupid to believe that prey animals in pairs migrating to the same area as predator pairs are would survive.
What is it about godists that make them so stupid?
