What is the scientific view on consciousness?

Daniel Dennett has written extensively on what I would say is the scientific view of consciousness. There are numerous videos of his on youtube that you can watch much better than I can try to explain.

What is the scientific view on metaphysical subjects?

There is no scientific view on metaphysical subjects per se. In some cases, what once was metaphysical is now physical due to sciences explanation of it (space and time for example). But science does not apply to pure metaphysical questions because science deals with the physical and not the metaphysical.

1st. That consciousness is merely a phenomena of the brain.

2nd. It does'nt matter as its outside their interest and considered hocus pocus.

It's not necessarily outside the realms of their interest, it's just outside the realms of science.

I'm sure there are plenty of scientists who are interested in metaphysics.
