Anyone offer up any evidence they believe supports the existence of aliens. Anyone who has evidence they believe supports the non-existence of aliens then please offer it.

Do personally do not believe in aliens as we know them. I am looking for others opinions on the subject and form a discussion about it.

I have no evidence but, statistically speaking, it's essentially assured that alien life exists. As long as we're ignoring the religious human-oriented perspective.

Although it should also, statistically speaking, have been very likely that we would have verifiable evidence of alien life by now. Yet we don't.

One theory is that most eco-system-dominating species tend to destroy themselves before they become advanced enough to be noticed.

Yeah, interesting outlook. I do come from the religious perspective in believing in UFO's but not inter-galactic beings. I do agree that if we are Godless then by stats then there should other life but that still go with the Bible because the Bible tells of angels that come to earth. You can also say that the nearly billions of alien abductions or sightings could be evidence. The similarities in stories also evidence of being accurate. Many paintings and drawing from our distance past that have flying objects in them as if it was a regular occurrence. You are also correct in humans destroying themselves.

Sure if there was some life that existed that existed on a planet as the dominant species on that planet, and had being telling its self its holds a special place as Gods special creation, and then that life came into contact with a superior alien life form.....well things just got interesting.

I wouldn't worry about, cause even if aliens exist in the same time period as humans exist, then there is the small problem of coming into contact with each other. How big is the universe ? I hear its pretty big, I hear that even if their was life all over the universe and all that life traveled a bit in theuniverse the chances that anyone of those life forms would come into contact with each other is pretty small.

Evidence for the non-existence of aliens? What could possibly constitute evidence for non-existence?

I personally do not believe we know aliens, but I do believe that it is likely they exist.

I think there's a reasonable chance that aliens (some form of life that didn't originate from Earth) have, do or will exist in our universe (or at least reality, whatever that means).

This is because we've already shown life in the universe is possible, and the universe is massive.

Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

Both sides of the argument are stunning to think about: if we are the only life in the universe, that is amazing; if we aren't alone in the universe, that is amazing.

Both are amazing but I'd say the former sounds a bit lonely.

What about your Aleister Crowley, I think he provides evidence of alien life.

It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Yeah, or maybe not.

There is no concrete evidence for or against the existence of aliens at this time.

Unfortunately that's about it... The best evidence for or against alien existence is our own quest to create a single-celled life form on earth.
