1. A procedure calleed RISUG in India (reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance) takes about 15 minutes with a doctor, is effective after about three days, and lasts for 10 or more years.

2. The doctor cuts a pin-sized hole, grabs a vans deferens tube, injects a polymer which destroys sperm that freely move through the center via the polyelectrolytic effect.

3. The procedure is inexpensive, reversible, and may have the side benefit of destroying HIV.

Yeah but its still sexist. We can't achieve equality until all males are entitled to abortions as much as women.

Equality, contrary to popular belief, does not mean that everyone is innately equal. Rather, it means that people are not treated unfairly without due cause. If the technology is developed that allows for a child to be removed from the womb and allowed to fully develop elsewhere, then we can talk about men having more of a say in the area of abortion.

I do believe i started this argument on this site about 4 years ago. Has anyone any evidence of it predating that? It definitely came from my own head when I made it. Give me my recognition!

My objection was that the male should be allowed opt out of paying child support if the female can opt out of having the child... And i've seen it numerous times only lately and never saw it back when i made back only from myself!

Child support is an absurd system, that is abused more that it is used correctly. Some men would rather commit suicide, that deal with the exorbitant child support fees handed out by courts these days. Child support is something that should be used to support a child, not support the mother. And don't even get me started on alimony.

Shame it's still in trials. There are quite a few different really good sounding male contraceptives like this, but none have been fully tested. :(

P.s. look up smart RISUG.

I've heard about it.

Gonna wait and see what happens to the first batch of human consumers.

The metal implant for female birth control seemed quite full-proof as well. Then we found the birth defects.

Yeah there will be SOMETHING that we find down the line that causes more harm than good. It's almost a certainty at this point in our technological development, when we apply new chemical technologies to our bodies there is just too much that can go wrong and not enough time to really figure it out before we want to start implementing the procedures...
Beliefs in a nutshell:
- The Ends never justify the Means.
- Objectivity is secondary to subjectivity.
- The War on Drugs is the worst policy in the U.S.
- Most people worship technology as a religion.
- Computers will never become sentient.

It's only common sense. What's amusing is that there are probably men rushing to get this procedure done in India.

Well, for straight guys who are alright with having sex without a condom this might be useful. But pregnancy is only one of thousands of concerns one should have when thinking about having unprotected sex. Here's a series of reasons condoms are still a good idea:

Even with condoms, std's can be transmitted. It's a risk we all must take. Everything in life has its risks; the only way to be very safe is to not pursue anything worthwhile in life. I'm reading this book entitled the denial of death in which the author describes the acceptance of death as a feeling that this world becomes an arena for heroism.

But the chances are drastically lower... don't even pretend you don't know that.

Male birth control has been around for a while. It's called wearing socks and sandals.

A lot of us come to this conclusion when we stop and think about the situation. Feminists are always saying "it's my body" and "for the kids." The facts that men are being forced into lifetimes of indentured servitude, presumably as punishment for having sex, and have zero reproductive/parental rights is never even considered.

I've even seen them claim that allowing men to opt out would oppress women because women would be forced to have abortions if their own income was insufficient to raise a child. Their delusion knows no bounds.

Black people do that all the time. Back in high school, I wore Jordan flip flops with socks and never had a problem. Proper birth control is wearing crocs. With or without sandals, doesn't matter.
