Base 6 vs base 12.

Which counting system has the most net benefit? (benefit to detriment ratio)

The Babylonians used base 60, conveniently divisible by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, and 12 (and others) -- why not that?

Maybe because I decided to not ask about that one? If you want to compare that one as well, feel free. As long as you include the original two.

Base 6 because you can count to thirty five on your fingers/hands..with the .left hand tracking the "ones" column, the right hand tracking the "tens" column, you can count to thirty five using your digits.

Hmmm...that sounds like it would be a good one for clocks, and maybe angles, or a coordinate system for geolocation even.

I don't think anywhere in the US would even consider that kind of change in the first place... :P
