Cybernetic humans

so what do you think about humans creating cyborgs? It seems very rapid that humans are advancing in the field of artificial intelligence very quickly. When I was young, I was very interested in cyborgs and things like that. I myself wanted to become a computer scientist and specialized in that stuff. I wanted to be the first to create a very first cybernetic human. I then realized that there is too much at stake over political powers, moral dilemmas, etc. what are your thoughts?

You're too late; there are already a handful of individuals who have implants which allow them to see and hear.
Not to mention all the people with prosthetic body parts.
