Do they exist? I've been looking for "lindworm" fossils and I've come across some fossils identified as incomplete fossils of 4 legged dinosaurs because they were missing a pair of limbs, but I wonder if they were really lindworms!

It is very easy to tell if a fossil is missing a pair of limbs. Center of weight and all that.
