I've created an equation that will determine how gay you are. It relies on the Kinsey scale and the Base System.

The Kinsey scale goes from 0 to 6.

0 = exclusively heterosexual.
3 = bisexual.
6 = exclusively homosexual.

The Base System goes from 1 to 4.

1 = Kissing/making out.
2 = Feeling up/fingering/handjob.
3 = Oral sex.
4 = Intercourse.

The equation is as follows:

K = Gt/Nt * 6

K = your score on the Kinsey scale.

Nx = the number of people of people you got to base X with, times the value of that base.

The value of the base = 0.25 * the number of the base.

If Joe has kissed 2 people, his N1 = (0.25 * 1) * 2 = 0.5

If Joe has fingered 2 people, his N2 = (0.25 * 2) * 2 = 1

If Joe has gone down on 2 people, his N3 = (0.25 * 3) * 2 = 1.5

If Joe has boned 2 people, his N4 = (0.25 * 4) * 2 = 2

Nt = "N total", and is the sum of N1 through N4

Nt can also be used to determine to determine how big a slut you are: if Joe has gone down on 2 people and had intercourse with 2 people, while Bob has gone down on 6 people and had intercourse with 0 people, then Joe's Nt = 3.5, while Bob's Nt = 4.5, meaning that Bob is the bigger slut despite being technically a virgin.

Note that 1 partner counts in all bases that you reach with them. If Joe kisses, fingers, eats out and bones Kate, then Kate counts for 0.25 + 0.5 + 0.75 + 1.0 = 2.5 in Joe's Nt.

You may be asking: How does all this determine how gay you are? Well, that's where "G" comes in.

G is the same as N, except you only count the gay encounters.

So if Joe has kissed, fingered, eaten out and boned 2 girls, but hasn't had any gay experiences, then:

Joe's Nt = 2.5 * 2 = 5.0
Joe's Gt (Gay total) = 0.0

If Bob has kissed, fingered and sucked off 6 guys, but hasn't had a home run with any of them, then,

Bob's Nt = 1.5 * 6 = 9.0
Bob's Gt = 9.0

If Kate has kissed, fingered and had oral with 3 girls and 1 guy, and has had intercourse with 1 guy, then,

Kate's Nt = 1.5 * 4 + 1.0 = 7
Kate's Gt = 1.5 * 3 = 4.5

We can then plug these numbers into the equation to see how gay each of these individuals is.

For John:

K = 0/5.0 * 6 = 0

John has a Kinsey scale rating of 0, making him exclusively straight.

For Bob:

K = 9.0/9.0 * 6 = 6

Bob has a Kinsey scale rating of 6, making him totally gay.

For Kate:,

K = 4.5/7 * 6 = 3.86

Kate has a Kinsey scale rating of 3.86, meaning she's bi, but is leaning towards a slight preference for girls.

Part of the reason I gave each base a different value is because some acts are gayer than others, and I wanted the data to reflect that.

For example:

Carl has kissed 2 guys. Dave has sucked off 1 guy. Assuming they have each had girlfriends:

Carl's K = 0.5/(2.5 + 0.5) * 6 = 1

Dave's K = 0.75/(2.5 * 0.75) * 6 = 1.4

Therefore, Dave is gayer than Carl.

If Dave now has one-night-stands with 20 additional girls:

Dave's K = 0.75/(2.5 * 21 + 0.75) * 6 = 0.08

So Dave is now less gay than Carl, despite having sucked a dick, because Dave has reaffirmed his masculinity by shagging lots of women. If we want to calculate the change in Dave's gayness:

Change in K = K after shagging - K before shagging

Dave's change in K = 0.08 - 1.4 = -1.32

So Dave's gayness has dropped 1.32 points after shagging lots of women.

This is an OCD test, not a how gay are you test.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken

If liberal democrats would just stop shooting people gun violence would drop by 90%

This equation is only a weighted comparison of sexual encounters, not an indication of "how gay" you are. Sexual orientation is who you are attracted to more so than a measure of who you have had sex with. By this metric someone who has never had a sexual experience would be asexual, regardless of whether they have any sexual attractions.

If they haven't had a sexual experience, they may as well be.

And if they've watched porn or masturbated then that's clearly false, but this isn't reflected by your approach.

I was going to include masturbation, but it was too hard to quantify.

For John:

K = 0/5.0 * 6 = 0

John has a Kinsey scale rating of 0, making him exclusively straight.

For Bob:

K = 9.0/9.0 * 6 = 6

Bob has a Kinsey scale rating of 6, making him totally gay.

For Kate:,

K = 4.5/7 * 6 = 3.86

Wouldn't this be very different for a young person and an old person? And what about asexual people??

LOL, this is awesome and shows you have way to much time on your hand. I think people can figure it out without a scale though. After all the Kinsey scale while not perfect is pretty darn accurate if a person is honest.

Just as with any scale the real issue is honesty.

My dad raised the following question:

"What if the other person is transsexual?"

Trannies, no matter which gender they are or were, are always treated as gay encounters.

And no, this thread is not supposed to be politically correct.

Good question, as really it does not matter how you view a transexual. He/she could be classified as gay, but then again also straight. Its a vague area, but throws the stats down the drain.

I classify them as gay because you'd still get a ribbing for it from your mates at the pub.

It's already past the voting period, doesn't matter though, the score reflects properly. You completely blew away your opponent in round three, it was a decisive win by any measure and the gap in score would only have widened anyway.

Having some measure of sexual preference is probably useful, but trying to make a finely tuned measure seems to me like a waste of time. People are too complex to be so finely categorized.

A BBC documentary covered some experiments on male v. female traits. The had about 15 or 20 men and women take a standard test on male and female personality traits. In one experiment they had each subject change the diapers on a baby. Afterwards, every one on of the women picked up the baby and comforted it. But only one of the men did so. It was the super-macho guy, the type with hair on his hair. He goo-gooed the infant like the women. A one-dimensional scale cannot say much.

There is separate useful metric for sexual frequency. The distribution for humans is log-normal, which means there are very large variations. A person who has sex once a month may have a very different idea of what is "normal" from a person who has sex four times a day. Both are within the normal range of variation.

Having some measure of sexual preference is probably useful, but trying to make a finely tuned measure seems to me like a waste of time. People are too complex to be so finely categorized.

You know this is meant to be a joke, right?

Actually I didn't care whether it was a joke or not. My purpose was try to drive some science into the tiny crack it opened.

Where would a Bigender, Bisexual fit into this?

K = Gt/Nt * 6 + 6g

g = the number of genders you identify as, excluding the one you were born with. Basically, if you're a dude who thinks he's a chick, you're totally gay.

Don't add this to your equation; it makes it too complicated. Besides, your "mates at the pub" wouldn't count the number of genders somebody identifies with. They'd just say, "That guy is such a faggot."
