I'm an attention whore with high self-esteem but I am not a narcissist.

Here's a short article from Psychology Today describing how narcissists tend to act:
http://www.psychologytoday.com...

They:
1) Have high extroversion (a match)
2) Have very low agreeableness (exact opposite of me)
3) Are impulsive (I am not)
4) Strive for short term goals (my mind is way in the future, I actually don't think about the present enough, to the degree that it causes problems.)

1 out of 4 is not a good match.

The very fact that you made this thread makes you a narcissist.

You don't get to decide how agreeable you are; others get to decide.

The fact that you think you get to decide this means you're a narcissist.

You haven't even made up your mind about what your ideology is gonna be a week from today.
And if you think you have, you'll change it before that week is up.

Agreeableness is a psychological term.

No, what I said is that I was psychopathic by philosophy and not biologically. I'm no longer an egoist.

No, I'm the exact opposite of impulsive. I think on things very thoroughly before making up my mind. Another reason why it seems like I change my mind a lot.

And no, I'm not trying to turn this into some argument. I'm sure you can get all technical on me with the psychological term of agreeableness and all that...

Not enough to argue about it.

Just to let you know, I'm obsessed with friendliness. I took the Big Five test(a copy-cat version though from online, but still), which includes agreeableness, and I got 88% which is extremely high.

I've pointed out several times here that debating actually isn't my thing. I love to negotiate.

Baseless? It's based on this. You made a thread about yourself.

Also, my statement was half serious. I honestly don't care about the issue either way.

It was on my mind.

When things are on my mind I talk about them.

If there isn't a thread already about about it or it's lost, I make a thread.

That's why I make lost of threads.

It's a part of being extremely extroverted. I have a complete inability to keep anything in.

Okay, a serious question this time.

I'm not trying to harass you, your personality description just confuses me. Granted I've never really been one for Psychology so I may be at a disadvantage here. Anyhow,

If you don't think about the present that much, how can you not be impulsive? Wouldn't it be natural to be on some kind of spontaneous auto-pilot if all your energy's going into making decisions about the future? If you don't have time to really think about those present decisions, wouldn't you just be acting on impulse for the most part?

That is a very good question. I appreciate that. I'll be honest, it confuses me a bit too. I know I'm not impulsive; it's actually really strange I put thought into every action I do, including putting on my seat belt and eating food, I ponder them both before doing it. But also I constantly have my mind on how I want things to be in the long run and am very poor at having short term goals.

Obviously.

Define agreeableness.

3) Are impulsive (I am not)

Really? Because the ridiculous number of forum games and "Oh hey guys, check this out" threads you create seem to suggest otherwise, and also seem to transcend extroversion.

4) Strive for short term goals (my mind is way in the future, I actually don't think about the present enough, to the degree that it causes problems.)

Your impulsiveness and inability to make up your mind in the short term is likely responsible for the fact that you don't strive for short-term goals.

3 out of 4 is a good match.

Interestingly enough, I actually have a subscription to Psychology Today. As a matter of fact, I got the newest issue in the mail today.
