Does hormonal contraception cause abortion?

I say no. Hormonal contraception works by preventing ovulation. Without ovulation, the woman cannot get pregnant.

It's a pre-zygotic form of birth control, not post zygotic like plan B, etc... So of course it's not an abortion.

Since its a contraceptive, i dont even see why it would, anymore than condoms would prevent you from getting pregnant after youve already become pregnant.
