We would like to invite you to participate in a new study conducted by Sara Prot and her team from Iowa State University.

We are interested in understanding how members of the public evaluate scientific findings on controversial topics (such as climate change, safety of vaccinations, violent video game effects, capital punishment etc.).

Here is the link to the study:
https://iastatepsychhci.az1.qualtrics.com...

This is an online study that will take approximately 5 minutes of your time.

Thanks again and if you have any questions, please contact Sara Prot or Dr. Kevin Blankenship at 515-294-2335.

Completed.
"This is the true horror of religion. It allows perfectly decent and sane people to believe by the billions, what only lunatics could believe on their own." Sam Harris
Life asked Death "Why do people love me but hate you?"
Death responded: "Because you are a beautiful lie, and I am the painful truth."

Done.

I find it interesting as I am still not sure what they are really studying. I think the whole thing about how it might have been traumatizing and where to seek help was novel, perhaps that goes to the true subject of the study. Never saw phone numbers and email addresses offered up on a study before, wondering if that is part of the study too.

Providing contact info is usual for studies in psychology and social sciences.

I liked it so much I took it 20 times just today.

I got stumped on the first question: Male/Female/Other.

"Other" - ? Are things happening in those dorm rooms that I don't know about?

I think it means the study is not closed to hermaphrodites.

I put demi-lesbian.

I have a feminine side that likes women, but the other side of me I can't tell if it's even human.
