Greetings, my fellow mutants.

I was arguing--er, debating, LOL--for Evolution, over on another thread and I came across this video which shows the Timeline for Human Evolution in just five minutes.

Pretty cool stuff. Check it out. (And crank up the volume!)

That's beautiful and wondrous, Drew. Many thanks. :)

YW!

I thought the John Williams theme music from Jurassic Park was especially fitting.

Meh. That one was more like a Saturday Night Live skit than a science-based whirlwind video which visually depicted our Evolutionary Timeline. Besides, it reminded me of the old Geiko Caveman, which I wearied of a long time ago.

Well, no leaps of faith or gaps in that story. So many minutes of pure education.

In the interests of balance, I need to link in the creationist rebuttal:

Wow...that was pretty cool. thank you.

I am probably--well maybe not--one of the few Christians here who believe all the way in evolution. I have no problem with it, or the four billion year old earth. I just prefer to think that evolution and the big bang and science are windows to us, like pc browsers--that show us God's artistry.
that music in the video? man--so familiar, I love it, butt couldnt put my finger on it. where is it from? Im guessing a movie?

The moment you declare a set of ideas to be immune from criticism, satire, derision, or contempt, freedom of thought becomes impossible. - Salman Rushdie

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts. - Bertrand Russell
