Is this a serious post? Science is a method used to study the natural world. Did you intend to say "convince me that science works"? Your inquiry is unintelligible.

Look down. See the device below that you are using to make these posts attacking science and realize that this computational devise uses so much science.

Science is real because it does so many amazing things that actually work in real life.

Please define: 'Science' and 'real'.

How would you recognise real? What independent evidence would you trust?

Well, theoretically, there is not proper evidence to prove the existence of anything. But, I believe the one philosophy which challenges the situation most properly is the famous "Cargito Ergo Sum". Once that is applied, it is no more than an observation of an accepted reality.

Much of Descartes work has recently been shown to be Isaac Beeckman's work instead. His famous sitting alone thinking and dreaming story might be a fabrication to allow him to claim sole ownership of the ideas he promotes. The longest letter Descartes wrote was an epic twelve page rant against Beeckman in response to his claim that Descartes was a plagiarist. However his philosophy did help validate the idea that we can progress from evidence to theory by rational thought and initiates the idea of falsification.

Once that is applied, it is no more than an observation of an accepted reality.

You forget that facts must be interpreted when inventing theory, so it is more than observation.

Well quite frankly, I never made a proposal to begin with. Second of all, I was referring the to philosophy itself, regardless of the author of the theory.

Two types of facts: Facts defined through language and human interpretation, and facts which are concrete in space. The former is similar in a sense to the 1984 version of "truth" where society attempts to define a historical account to be 'factually correct', even though they simply redefined the premise of "truth" and "factually correct". The purpose of "science" is to account for the latter truth; unbiased observations pertaining to universal 'truth'; of course, interpretation is not evident without error, but even in the face of error remains elements of truth.
