Pangea supercontient reform cycle

Geologists suspect that Earth's continents shift around on a cycle, that every 500 million to 750 million years they all clump back together to form a supercontinent, like that of Pangea. As I am sure we are all aware, the Earths continents and tectonic plates move due to circulation in the Earths mantle, however, because the plates/continents are made up of lighter rock (Especially oceanic crust), this particular material "floats" in the mantle and effectively escapes subduction, as a result of this, the continents have little morphological change, eventually, this continents collide and sometimes form a supercontinent. There has been two previous supercontinents, Pangea; which existed 200-300 MYA and Rodina; which existed 760 MYA to 1.1 BYA. Current predictions suggest that in 250 million years, a new supercontinent will arise (Novopangea), then in another 250 million years another (Amasia) and then in yet another 250 million years there will be another (Pangea Proxima). From this data it can be further implied that there were more supercontinents in the time before Rodina, however evidence to support this is scarce, due to the difficult time scale Geologists have to work with.

Correction: Novopangea, Amasia and Pangea Proxima are all possible configurations of the continents in 250 million years, disregard how I explained it.
