I always found this field of study interesting in that the possibilities are so tantalizing. Anyone here think there are undiscovered animals out there still? Bigfoot, lochness monsteresque creatures ect.
Seeing how theres about 250,000 species we have in the fossil record but know of 2 million species from observation what do you guys think is still out there?

I believe one day they will find a nice manned , non manipulative trustworthy female species of human. With every bloke looking for 1, it's only a matter of time.

Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster are extremely unlikely, its important to remember cryptozoology is a pseudoscience.

Why put a limit on yourself like that?
Found this link to be interesting. Maybe youll enjoy it maybe not. It names several species that were thought long extinct that were quite literally rediscovered! Absolutely awesome

Yes, but both the supposed Bigfoot and Loch Ness monster supposedly live near high populations of people, not to mention the vast majority of people walk around with what are essentially just cameras.

There is a world of difference between suggesting previously extinct creatures are still alive, and using mythology as evidence (Which cryptozoology does).

Side note: Takahes are awesome, I have been fortunate enough to see two in a wildlife sanctuary.

Not that such a term is meaningful at this point.

Its meaningful to the scientifically literate people, "pseudoscience" is a good category to put junk sciences in.

Which other fields would you include there?

Look man you dont have to take some defensive approach to everything, loosen up a bit. I was just seeing if there was anyone into the bigfoot stuff, are there still dinosaurs in some oasis, something like that. This thread isnt argumentative, its for fun and speculation only. If you dont have any interest in the unknown animal kingdom then enjoy yourself elsewhere!

Its turning around in the downtown area. Its still super broke and the local neighbrohoods still have gotten little if any attention. Moved outta there 3 years ago. Sometimes I miss the harmonious sounds of gunshots every other night. especially in new years!
There is actually some good fishing there though its been a while since I fished the river. Flint is really more screwed right now though. The guv essentially allowed pipes to start running water to the residents to "save money" that had been inactive for about 80 years if I recall correctly.
