No problem. Once I was playing soccer with my friends and the dog was playing too, and he started limping and collapsed. We took him in and he was fine a couple days later. Its frightening, but your dog will be fine.

A member concerned enough about their dog to seek free advice on the internet, but not enough to spend money and seek a vet, wishes to upbraid you for treating the question lightly after said member had already been reassured.

Much like a dachshund in the mud, said member hasn't a leg to stand on. :p

Whoops, sorry I thought you were saying too soon about the news with the dog not being able to drive in a mocking way, my bad.
My dog had a longer than five minute long seizure but she's back at home now, curled up into a ball.

True. Vet or not, there's not really much to be expected from anonymous persons on a site not dedicated to animal care. At any rate, I was trying to lighten the mood and hopefully give our OP a chuckle - crash and burn. ;-)

Well she's a lab and labs are naturally more predisposed to seizures but it is being diagnosed as idiopathic epilepsy so they don't know what caused it.

They do know what caused it, but they are doctors and have to protect their benefactors - the pharmaceutical companies.

If You actually read the thread in the link, you would've seen how ridiculous your post is.
I realise you were posting in anguish, but your thread is silly, MC. Is a member of this forum with whatever dubious qualifications, who has never seen your dog, supposed to do a better job of diagnosis than a qualified vet who has? Whatever opinion anyone offered, is it supposed to be reliable? And will you believe it because they know, or because you want to believe it?

You surely know that competent, evidence-based advice is a vet's job because that's where you took your dog, so I don't believe you were looking for that here. Neither is your request directed toward helping your dog so much as helping you feel better, so it's not like you're being especially noble.

I realise you posted in distress, and while your anguish was real, so is the absurdity. The humour you complained about is observational rather than sadistic, so why are you punishing some members because they don't love your dog as you do, can't help, won't lie, and find your post vaguely absurd?

Vets need sick animals to make a living. Thus, if they tell you the real cause of the animals sickness they will be devaluing their business and qualifications. Thus, they will tell you lies so that your dog and other dogs continue to get sick so that they can continue to make money.

RuvDraba's medical system believing beliefs have fogged his ability to reason and observe. He hates facts and figures and relies on the 'status quo is always right' philosophy.
