Something catastrophic must have happened for such an event to be fossilized

I would be too. Just caught the thing and never go t to eat it. What a shame.

Apparently the Pterosaur swooped down to catch a small fish, but the larger fish jumped up to catch it. It probably got its teeth stuck in the Pterosaurs wing, so they sunk to the bottom of the lake (Where 02 conc. was low) and died.

Coincidentally, another fossil was actually discovered not too long ago that is of interest.

This time, its a snake that ate a lizard which ate a beetle.
