At the very least, his name got spelled correctly on this thread. (:

That explains the drop in the number of high-quality posts :'(

I really hope he returns... I really expected and hoped he would stay and become a permanent member, and not just be prolific for a while and leave, as others (e.g. Saint_of_Me, who I think arrived at around the same time as he did) have done. He brought a huge amount of significant and profound insight to the forums, and would be as well known as an important poster as people like YYW, Skep and Cody if he had not focused on Science and Religion.

I don't agree with him on everything, but I agree with him on far more issues than I disagree, and I can safely say that he has been one of the site members who have influenced me the most. I sometimes feel those who disagree with him have been unnecessarily harsh and judgemental - his exchanges with BOG, for example, are an example of the excellent person that he is.
The thing is, I hate relativism. I hate relativism more than I hate everything else, excepting, maybe, fibreglass powerboats... What it overlooks, to put it briefly and crudely, is the fixed structure of human nature. - Jerry Fodor

I agree. Even though he didn't believe most of what I shared with him, he truly had a spirit of love for other people.

Maybe I had something to do with him leaving, he was really intelligent and willing to debate, but not willing to "learn", especially from someone he couldn't look up to. Being intelligent and knowledgeable as he was, he seemed to despise anyone without credentials to bring up a subject that even he found difficult to understand.

Here was his last response to me regarding our "Evidence of God" debates:
http://www.debate.org...

RuvDraba - Recall that I offered reasonable terms under which I would recognise this discussion as scientific, Ev. You not only failed to meet them, but you failed to recognise my criteria as central to science, and then tried to force the terms that suited you.

Evidence - Yes I've been told that by atheists of all denominations,

Ev, I believe that you understand only a fraction of what I have written, and have not made reasonable efforts to understand the parts that you don't.

This conversation being unproductive, and your own posts lacking sufficient good faith to be considered on-topic or even respectful, I regret that I must terminate things here. :

Now can you imagine with all this new evidence coming in regarding the Flat Earth and the obvious lies by what Ruv considered the most reliable scientific organizations like 666CERN and NASA coming in? I can see a person like RuvDraba throwing his hands up and leave debating, I hope at least till he soaks up all the new revelations from actual scientific observation, instead of the same-o-same-o worn out "Carl Sagan "Millions and Billions of years ago" MK-ultra religious doctrines.

(Someone told me that I made up this "Millions and billions Carl Sagan" quote myself (well I did) but from observation, not to be sarcastic, but reveal the mind control in todays science. Here is a perfect example (God bless the one who put it together!)

https://www.youtube.com...

R.I.P. Carl Sagan as you float out into the CGI "Cosmos" and become "One with the universe" as you osmosis into Quasar that will shoot you to a Parallel universe.

So as I was saying, all this new revelation from observation must have weighed heavy on our debating friend, and I for one will pray for him that instead of quitting, he would come to the realization that much of what he thought he knew was based on NASA and 666CERN lies.

Hopefully he will fall on his knees and do as millions are doing, pick up his Bible as if for the first time and seek his Creator, and come back and take sides with the Truth-seekers like Edlvsjd here, I mean that's what science is all about right? The search for truth, not what Carl Sagan did, .. either knowing, or from MK-ultra indoctrination, insert never observed opinions.

Another thing I noticed browsing through my Post "Evidence of God" only a year ago, how much information changed! This is why Christians can't seem to prove the existence of God, we have all been so brainwashed, we use science fiction and other religious doctrines to try to disprove science fiction and lies!

Especially regarding religious science like BB-Evolution, .. he took his faith in that very seriously.

Sad indeed.
