What is a right?

To me, a right is anything that you are able to do.

If you are able to get involved, you have the right.

It depends on the situation. In some cases, you can be held criminally liable if you don't get involved.

A right might imply that you would be justified in doing so.

Like tigg said, I think it mostly depends on the situation. Obviously if it's something life-threatening then people do have a right to intervene and probably should.
