Why is incest wrong?

Incest, aside from all the social stigma, seems like something that would be completely natural to do. After all, your brother/sister could be a potential mate and the time and energy wasted in searching for possible mates would be greatly lessened. From a solely cost-benefit calculation prima facie, the act seems completely natural, if not encouraged.

However, the reason why incest is evolutionary discouraged is because the risk of recessive genes "double-doping" to overpower any dominant gene. In the population at large, most individuals share the overwhelming majority of their genes. The few slight variations are the commonly perceived differences between different members of the species, most prominently being (in humans) hair colour and skin colour. However, most humans also carry recessive genes of potentially lethal diseases; these genes cannot be eliminated from the gene pool naturally because a plethora of people carry them without apparent negative effects to their current body. The distinction is that relatives share a much larger portion of their genes past the societal norm, of let's say an arbitrary percentage of 95%- whereas siblings may share 97-98%. Since any particular gene from the mother or father has a 50% chance of being implemented within the body of an offspring, relatives have a 50% chance above and over the regular chance of them having two recessive genes of potentially lethal diseases.

That is why incest is evolutionary discouraged. Thoughts?

But....but....Don't you want to know why screwing your sister is bad?

How's yer mom?
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.
