I wanted to put this thread out for those of you who wonder why Blacks do not vote for any Republican candidate whatsover. Please listen to this classic sermon
by one of our greatest speakers this world has ever known. And no, I do not support Black Nationalism thank you very much. But there are two sides to
every story. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Also, I have no problem with Blacks being enslaved and coerced to vote a certain way, free choice and all that I guess. One man's political party is another man's plantation I suppose.

When one separates themselves from the pigeonhole of belonging to races, groups and ideologies, that is when the "individual" flourishes.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken

Yep, and thank God for that because there are still some people that can think for themselves even when the majority of their "kin" are enslaved by others.

Being enslaved. Well, if you are someone who is part of the middle working class, and is a consumer, then yes my friend, you to are a slave. It just all depends on how you look at things. =)

How on earth do you take what Malcolm X said here and translate it to political party lines?

Easy. Because he is showing you the fundamental difference between the
Conservative Blacks and the Liberal ones. It is political because the upper class Blacks were actually just more affluent socially speaking. But the relations have changed. It went from monetary to political. So today we use this term, we are talking about Blacks who cater willingly to White elites, and sell out their own race.

I wouldn't go that far. Malcom X was a great man but his ideal today, I think, would be considered a little extreme. Black republicans don't cater to white people. They are just republicans....

No. I do believe that Conservative Blacks do try to attain some sense of favortism towards Whites especially in politics.

Maybe some. But I think the majority of black people in that category have enough self respect to know better than that .

A. Not his finest moment (I took him as my partial namesake...I kinda know the man)
B. What he was doing, consciously or not, was showing you the same "divide and conquer" tactics that anyone with a power monopoly would use.
C. Really what he was doing was distorting a lesson first given by Fredrick Douglas, in his famous autobiography.
D. Anything said by Malcolm, especially in speech form, while he was acting as an agent of the Nation of Islam needs to be heavily discounted.
E. His views broadened quite a bit after that video.
F. (video) "strive to throw off the shackles of mental colonialism"

of the Negro race. Why would you or anyone here despute this given our volatile history towards one another. =)

I didn't see much wrong with the word, until I watched Django Unchained.
