So I been thinking. If I am visited by a genie, and I wish to never bodily age, and 20 years later, I see a 19 year old and sex with her (Im 17 now), assuming the age of consent is 18, did I break the law?

Sounds like we need a test case!

Who cares? You can spend the time in prison just for the lolz.

I care? Isn't there a Twilight Zone episode that went just like this?

Think of it as a learning experience.

You would be thirty seven years old since your birth was thirty seven years ago. She is an adult. All legal.

If you had sex with her now you wouldn't be breaking the law. She would be the one having illegal sex, not you.

Nope, 18 is the adult age, unless of course you did it without her will, then it's a violation, and you could go to jail for that.

How on Earth would they know that you were 17 instead of 18, 19 or 20? If you look like an adult, BOP is on the cops to prove you're underage. And as you're actually 37, they wouldn't be able to find any. Besides, nobody really cares if some teenage punk gets his d!ck wet.

First, if a law was broken, and you were the "underage" sexual partner, they broke the law, not you.

However, a law isn't broken, since it goes by age, not body image.

There was a Law and Order : SVU episode about this, with a girl who was 17/18, but looked like she was 12, getting married to a pedophile because she wanted to have a child. She had some disease that aged her slowly, so her window for having children was actually quite small, and who wants to have sex with a "child"?
My work here is, finally, done.

Why? It's quite good.
It explored the very question posited here. And, in the show, it was a legal marriage (I think she was 17 and was emancipated)

If you are biologically beyond about a 2-3 year difference, you'll go to jail, however you look. If, however, you look like you're 20, I'm sure you'll have an especially difficult time in prison.

I can handle the occasional sex crime on a police/detective show, but not every week. That just screws people up. I imagine it's worse for the people who actually work in that department.

What about if it was reversed, and the girl was only 14 at the time?

ANYWAYS. The point of thise thread is to point out why I don't like Age Laws.

They might be able to. Age is an arbitrary thing to base laws on. Mental capacity is better.
