What is general English culture and values?

The belief in a secular country meaning separation of church and state and church and school.
Patriotism in the flag, the monarchy and the British history especially the British Empire.
Admiration for the arts meaning poetry, novels and epics; performing arts " among them music, dance, opera, theatre and film; including drawing, painting, and sculpting.
A belief in the contribution of society and not unnecessary recipiency.
Belief in democracy, parliamentary or presidential system.
The belief in civilised society meaning having a high state of culture and development both social and technological. Showing evidence of moral and intellectual advancement; humane, ethical, and reasonable. Marked by refinement in taste and manners; cultured; polished.
Aspiration for personal achievement for oneself, family and society.
Aspiration to leave a positive lasting legacy in one's life and be remembered when gone.
The traditional, pragmatic and realistic view that extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence.

The Freedoms and Rights an English Citizen should have the responsibility to defend?

Freedom to express yourself
Freedom from religion
Freedom of speech
Freedom of the internet
Freedom of the media
Right to a prompt, fair trial by jury.
Right to vote in elections for public officials.
Right to run for elected office.
Right to protest
Right to keep government and governmental decisions accountable through petition, referendum, public consultation and public elections.
Right to government transparency

Citizens? Do you think we are still being citizens? Nation means anything anymore? Would it be possible that the same governments that spy on us have decide that we are not longer citizens but consumers? Consumers of good, marketing, politics even consumers of our own lives on twitter and facebook and instagram?
Are we in an era where the online technological world has overcome the offline world?...where we used to be citizens...and no consumers?
