Why should a fetus have more rights than a sperm? They are both merely potentials for human life, one has simply progressed further than the other.

This is a question for antii-abortionists.

An un-united sperm and or egg cell have only a potential to create that which a fetus already is.

In other words, an un-united sperm and egg cell are "merely potential" human lives. A human being in the fetal stage of their life already exists as a human being (organism) and it is because the 'potential' that the sperm and egg cell had was actually realized at conception.
