The principle at a school in Georgia stated during a ceramony stated " Look who's leaving... all the black people".
Do you think her behavior was acceptable?
In your opinion, was her statement, " Look who's leaving... all the black people", a racial remark?
Why do people use the Devil as an excuse for poor conduct?
Is the Devil a legitimate excuse?

Discuss.

Strangely enough, they all looked ecstatic when she said that.

Well, that definitely sounded racist to me, but it's hard to say for sure because the video didn't show what lead up to the ruckus. Apparently some people were being rude while that kid was giving a speach, which is what got her riled up. If it turns out that the rudeness had to do with racism--like maybe the black people were criticizing him for being white--then I don't think her comment was racist. In that case, she was angry with the black people for being racist, then calling them on it while they were leaving. But who knows? There's no enough context in the video to tell.

From a Christian point of view, it doesn't matter whether the devil caused her to make a racist comment or not. Nobody in the Bible is ever excused on their actions on the basis that the devil tempted them. IN fact, it implies just the opposite. If Jesus had given in to the devil's temptations, then he would've been guilty of sin. He would not have been excused just because the devil was tempting him.

Mayabe the devil DID cause her to make a racist comment. That may be the reason she did it, but it's not a moral justification for doing it, so it's not an excuse.

We are responsible for our actions whether somebody else tempted us to do them or not.

My roommate and I were watching this last night, and we both agreed that it's the stupidest excuse we've ever heard. I mean, imagine if someone tried using that excuse in court. These are the Christians that piss me off, their stupidity is too much.
