When so many people are blind to daily opression and their unhapinness, drunk away or swept away by being distracted, how does one instigate change? Every country in the world is in need of dire, dire change on a social, political and economic level.

How do you change without violence?

All change requires stress, or at least the threat of violence.

So the only way to escape from the Western lifestyle of lying to oneself is to revolt?

Exactly. People are so set in their ways. The dialogue has been going on for centuries, and nothing has changed unless violence was involved.

Well, didn't work so well for China and Russia. Cuba's doing ok all things considered.

If one revolt leads, like in Animal Farm, to an orobouros (snake biting it's tail), how do we enforce that change once it has been created?
