There are many beliefs that a women's place is to stay in the house to only cook, clean and take care of the children. Their husbands discourage working in the workplace. What is your thought?

I believe a dual working household is detrimental to the child. I do not care which parent assumes the rearing/support role, but I would say that women are generally better equipped for it.
My work here is, finally, done.

I think that a Woman has a right to do what she wants.......if its to please a man. Besides this is the role that is fitting for you. Why do you think the fem movement has caused society to weaken. Women aren't being Women. They are trying to be like us Men. =)

Fitting for me? how so?
Women are trying to be like men? So, they're trying to be a pig?

A woman's "place" is where she desires to be-- in accordance with her abilities and ambitions. The problem with the present generation is that too many women (girls, actually) look up to the likes of Kim Kardashian, who has very little in the way of abilities or even anything resembling self actualization and emotional maturity.

It's a useless thought, and one of no value. Modern society has, for the most part, moved beyond this.

Actually no. I know many men who discourage women for doing something a man would do. Allot of cultures still abide by this today.

People generally consider taking care of the home and family as some sort of slavery. Truth is that its very much the opposite I can think of no other position more important, more influencial, and more rewarding.

This type of thought has more to do with thinking that money is the most important thing in life. NOT TRUE

As a man I would rather raise my children than be a white or blue collar slave.
I guess everybody want everything without responsibility for anything

I said "for the most part".

And I wouldn't count cultures like those of the Middle East to be "modern". They haven't progressed socially for quite some time.

A woman should always be obedient to her husband. God wants it this way. And He should know, right?

you prove my point about selfishness by cursing me. and you call yourself a Christian. Wow. Pray extra hard tonight before you do your twittering and all that ego stuff.

Scripture and the Bible is timeless and not un-relevent. most Christians know this. (i guess not all though!) lol

First, Scripture is timeless, in some important senses. Of course, Scripture was written in time and describes temporal, historical events. In those ways it is temporal, and that temporal character is important to the understanding of Scripture. But in other ways it stands beyond our temporal experience. Isaiah says, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever" (40:8).

The Apostle Peter reiterates: "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God. For "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord stands forever'" (I Pet. 1:23-25). Cf. also Psm. 119:89, "Your Word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens," and verse 160, "All your Words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal."

If there aren't any children, I don't see why both of them can't work. But if there are children, then it's important for one person to stay home with them. It's logical for the one who makes more money to keep working, and the other one stay home.

I believe husbands should provide so the wife does not half to work but can if she chooses to. In my experience women are more nurturing and therefore more effective in the household. I think it just comes along with mothering. However I do understand it can go both ways.

I agree. Some women are better at nurturing their own children than actually working in the work place. It really depends on the type of women.

Its worked pretty well so far. I own my own business and am Saved by God. I begin ministry college next Fall. but when i quote Scripture its now to show off my knowledge on the Bible, theirs alot of people who can quote more than me, I do it just when whatI quote fits when Im trying to help somebody free themselves from Sin, which St. Paul tells us are the wages of Death. and I also must try to get them closer to God. it was all part of the Deal.

Keep quoting scripture for everything bud. I'm sure it'll get you far in life.

Haha, this is great.

i know, I added that like ten seconds later in that post. Like I said we're not blood since I was adopted when I was six. I saw him in Santa Barbara last winter for a family reunion. you know what's suprising about him? In real life he's not very funny at all! sort of moody and serious. but a nice kid.
