This person who identifies as biologically female with the preferred pronoun of "she" was kicked out of women's washroom: https://www.facebook.com...

Do I have to talk about the irony of a male cop invading a women's washroom to kick out a woman because her presence made someone uncomfortable?

I guess all these people worried about men using a women's washroom are completely comfortable with transmen in the women's washroom: http://www.buzzfeed.com...

Who's going to ensure people have the right genitals?

This whole bathroom issue seems to dumb to me. When I'm in a bathroom, I spend 0 time thinking about the other people in that bathroom. Can people just piss in peace?

Just one type of bathroom for everybody.

This is the dumbest issue that I've seen to date. The fact that's it's getting airtime just proves how low this country had fallen.

What boggles my mind is that if any of the transmen in the Buzzfeed article were to use the men's washroom, they'd be breaking the law somewhere. But if they used the women's washroom, they'd be harassed anyway. Then, of course, you have people who are biologically female and identify as women but don't have the "correct look" according to some random person and so they can't use the public washroom either.

But freedum, amirite?

I had coed bathrooms while in college. No issues there. A number of times I've used the men's room at concerts because the ladies line was just too long. No man inside batted and eye. In Provincetown there are more male looking females in the bathroom than fem females. No problems there either.

I think the top question depends on if you're going #1 or #2. Oh, and also it depends on how clean that toilet is. You know those public toilets where you have to go really bad and there are two stalls, and one is taken, so you peer into the other one and there's just a ton of toilet paper and crap in it bowl...so you just end up waiting in pain until the other person is done.

This is unacceptable, obviously that was a girl. The lack of ID is reasonable, but you could see female anatomical parts such as breasts beneath the sweater - also the lack of an adam's apple is a clear indicator. This was unfortunate, and an overly extreme reaction from law enforcement.

I don't know what the real solution is though besides having all bathrooms be gender-neutral which isn't really a bad idea because like Maikuru, I could not give less of a sh1t who else is using the bathroom. Ideally, they would all be single-user but that would be way too expensive.

One time as an adult I accidentally used the women's washroom and didn't realize until I noticed literally only women were around me. Nobody said anything and it wasn't a problem. Cool story, I know.

Anyway, It'd be nice to live in a world where basic social norms can be taken for granted without requiring huge political debates and movements, but I guess that's asking for too much in the progressive age of 2016 where our real problem are so petty we invent new problems, even if that requires us to go as far as to slash our genitals and demand to use the opposite washroom.

At a certain point, it's easier to just move and live around a bunch of bigots, because at least then sh*t's simple. Identity politics is a cultural cancer.

I mean, transgender issues are the epitome of first-world problems. Oh, I misgendered you? You poor thing. You aren't allowed to use the washroom with the symbol you prefer because you don't physically resemble it? God forbid, I don't care if you people only make up 0.3% of the population, this issue demands national attention!

Hmm. My temper kicked up halfway through posting and I guess it shows lol.

Anyway, I think transgendered people are mentally ill, but I also think this issue has been blown way out of proportion and could easily be handled on a case-by-case basis. I don't think it would bother me sharing a washroom with a transgender any more than it would bother me sharing any given room with one, but that's not to say it wouldn't bother me. I definitely do feel a some degree of visceral repulsion to transgenders.

Wait, so they kicked out someone who is biologically female from the women's restroom because she dressed like a male? If how you dress is the relevant factor, then she should be allowed to use the men's bathroom, which I'm guessing they don't allow either.

Those people should use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.

Do you really want sexual predators to have access to women's restrooms just because they identify as "transgender"? And don't tell me that this won't happen, because it has happened in the past (see: http://bit.ly...) and could very well happen again . . . Especially now with Target's new "inclusive" policy, which really gives sexual predators access to the girl's restroom.
