how're things? well.. i was listening to this thing on the radio there a while ago they were talking about eating bugs.. and it was fairly interesting.. but they started off talking about the meat industry or whatever you'd call and how it's having such a bad effect on whatever it is it's effecting.. can be held accountable for 20% of green house gases and all that sorta stuff that just didn't interest me all that much..

BUT THEN! A MEAT CRISIS! some netherlands scientist fella talking about how in fifty years meat would be enjoyed only by the privileged and the wealthy....and i was like, "holy sh1t!" ..and i started paying a small bit more attention.. and he went on about how insects were gonna take the place of "conventional meats" in our diets in the foreseeable future.. he said there're 1200 types of insects eaten worldwide today and that they can be cooked up quite tastily... and that they're equally as nutritious... as well as being far easier to produce.. something like 1.5 kg of feed for 1 kg of meat using insects in comparison to around 10 kg of feed to get 1 kg of meat with like sheep and cows and humans and stuff...and production's much quicker too..can't remember the figures... and no green house gases! woo hoo! lol.. it's better than the green alternative..that's for sure!

actually... down with the meat crisis! i call for anarchy!

You just dropped a bomb. A terrible, nasty, dirty, and possibly nuclear bomb.

Lord help us all.

It won't happen; there's way too much demand. The meat industry in your country is completely different than it is in our country, although i am uncertain if that is relevant to the discussion, but anyway, here meat is a corporate product that is produced with incredibly efficient processes that involve precise measurements of what goes into per pound yeild (costs). There is no reason to suspect that the product wouldn't be even more widely available in the future. Although i do understand the desire for that to not be the case, and that the meat industry should be shut down by the left.
