UConn beat Butler with a score of... 53 - 41.

When I heard the score, I thought they must be talking about a woman's basketball team. Is that wrong to think that?

As of January 14 in the 2001 season, the average men's Division I team scored 72.7 points per game on 44.17% field goal shooting. The average women's team scored 67.6 points per game on 41.2% shooting from the floor.

It was by far the ugliest national championship I've ever seen.
I'm a big Butler fan, if they had just played bad, they would have won.
However Uconn played bad and butler play absolutely turrible(Charles picked a game right for once), something like 1 bucket in the paint and they shot 18.8% from the field.
Lowest percentage in any tournament game since 1940.
Awful awful awful game.
Bulldogs are still a great team and Brad Stevens is one of the top coaches in the league.
