As most of you probably know, the Olympics start in about a week. I'm just curious as to who supports them and will be following them Although I don't support them politically due to the corporate involvement and such, I do support the actual idea of having an international sporting competition and will be following much of it, the figure skating in particular. So yea, thoughts?

P.S- I love the mascot Miga! http://www.greekshops.com...

I'll probably catch a few glimpses of it because I watch ESPN a whole lot, but I really have no interest in these games.

I'll definitely be watching. Though I'm a MUCH bigger fan of the Summer Olympics, I still enjoy seeing what these people can do. The speeds and heights of many of these sports is outrageous!

Without corporate involvement, it would cost just that much more in taxes, which would be unacceptable.

Canada will win. That's how we roll. ;) Besides, in every winter Olympics we're always one of the top countries. However, I was disappointed that we lost to an american in speed skating today. :(

A person would have to be killed in Canada of all places. You should start a new tourism campaign:

depends who you ask. The people that are big on curling here are what I like to call the 'hicks of the north'. But if you're Canadian and don't like hockey (which I personally find to be a paradox) then you damn well better make sure that no one finds out or you just may be banished forever :P

I know people who don't like hockey. They should be banished! Away with them!

Oi, why did I have to miss that last throw? I'm not sure what happened, but the Germans only got 1 that last round, not 3.

Current score is 7 - 4 Germans.

I know why, I was getting Curling mixed up with Shuffle Board.

Canada won in the mens, that round.

The women's are now starting and it is exciting.

Watching USA v Japan.

USA had a 4 - 1 lead going into round 5, but Japan just nailed 3 points to tie it up (it was almost a 6 point round for Japan).

Yes, 7 - 6 in OT (well, it's called extra ends, but same thing).

Doesn't surprise me either that Canada won at curling. xD
