Also, don't be humiliated, I was joking about the child-labour thing. The media have surely made this look worse than it is. The kids in the picture look pretty happy actually. Considering the context the article puts the whole thing in, I'd say that was the worst picture they could find.

no, its just that i was pretty excited for this. I had made all kinds of plans, but considering the utter flop this is beginning to look like, its frustrating. especially since i thought it would be a pretty good chance for India to come out.

Fair enough. I am not excited by sport in general. I expect Australia to do well, but I don't particularly care. These games are such a waste of money.
I'd like to see "Street Games", where they don't need to build big stadiums. The demand to put on a big show is why children are working on the stadiums. I would have my children work rather than let them starve too.

but nobody would come from Paris or Switzerland to watch Street games, so that would not exactly serve the purpose...
