nah, he wouldn't get locked in. If they wen't nowhere he would leave after his first contract.

Didn't seem to be that easy for his pops. Old man left his career early in tears because of being stuck with the Lions.

Wasn't in tears there dood.
He wanted to comeback with Detroit, but it was too late in his life, I don't know if he ever has publicly said why he retired in the first place.

He didn't leave in tears. He just didn't have it in him to keep playing. He loved detroit it was just football wasn't fun anymore for him.
