So Casey Close, Dexter Fowler's moron agent, decided it would be a good idea to make a public statement bashing the O's front office for making public a false deal. But, as usual, he's playing the blame game and not owning up to his faults.
First off, none of those Orioles media or front office ever confirmed the deal. In fact, the first media member to make the deal public was Buster Olney. After Olney, many more media members from all types of sites, even those for the Cubs, made the deal public. So to just go and blame the O's front office is pretty stupid and shows a lack of character on his part.
Also, isn't it his job as agent to shoot down any rumors or potential false deals? And why wait 48 hours to make public that the deal was false? Remember the bogus Brewers and Mets trade that invoked Wilmer Flores? Even when that was made public it was revealed to be false only an hour later. This not only took way longer but both Close and Fowler made it seem as if the deal was actually legit. They gave no sign that the deal was bogus until Fowler shows up to Cubs training camp.
They're the ones who treated the situation like a game, and blaming the O's front office is just a deflection attempt by them to smear all their guilt somewhere else.
