I agree.

Just in case I get into some BS with FREEDO again about how he's NOT a narcissist.

I uninstalled Norton...
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

To get rid of it completely, use the norton removal tool.

I find that hilarious-- that you must download another one of their products in order to remove the bad product you started off with!

I uninstalled it. I just went to control panel--add/remove programs--scrolled down to Norton--hit uninstall, took about 5 minutes to do.

But it said that I would be potentially at risk for the reception of viruses.
So I decided not to uninstall it.

Or you're not on the intarwebs.
And you're not really 'at risk' if you're not actively going to a malicious site or running executables you can't trust, unless you have pro hackers after you who want to waste their time giving you a virus. I would wager that no one on this site has pro hackers after them, so.

Or if you download some virus from another website.

Because you're a stupid user.

95% of the time it can be taken back to the actions of a stupid user.

I'd love to see where you get that statistic from. Or at the very least, where you get that impression.

Most people don't get hacked by advanced hackers or the hackers would be wasting their time. People can get virus more easily than be hacked.

The only way to get a virus where it is not your fault is if your computer is actually hacked by someone. Needless to say, this doesn't happen much, and any considerable damage can usually be avoided by using some type of firewall.
