Clouds are fluffy like marshmallows though

Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights..."

Chromebooks are stupid to people who don't understand the point of them.

Are they overpriced? A bit(no more than every single Apple product), but prices have come down, just like with anything new.

Are chromebooks good for their purpose? Absolutely. Fast, secure web browsing with limited tasking. A chromebook is meant to be a nice tool to get things done online quickly.

IT DOESN"T INSTALL PROGRAMS!?>>!>!

No, and it's not supposed to.

I run ChromeOS on my computer, along with Windows and Linux and Linux. They each have their uses.

Now, if you want super sexy computing:

or

http://blog.linuxmint.com...

or of course

http://store.apple.com...

Yeah, the article is old, wrong, and stupid.

It says you can lease it, and mentions that you can buy it, but then says in the next paragraph that you can't buy it. It also says you can't give one to somebody, like how the author's father gave him a netbook as a gift.

It then starts to call facts about chromebooks 'myths'.

The myth of fast. "Yes, it's fast, but look at what you can't do with it!" In other words, it's not a myth that it's fast.

The myth of updated. It automatically updates the OS. It's not a myth.

The myth of portable. It is portable... again the author tries to just attach 'myth' to features to make it look bad.

You can save information directly to the computer, USB stick, or flash card. The author says you become a slave of Google, even though you can store data locally, or with Dropbox, or anything else.

I think, 5 times the author says you can't own a Chromebook. Yeah, you can't own one if you are a lazy poor college student whose dad won't buy him yet another laptop.

They author also fails to understand exactly what cloud computing is and how it works. There is a difference between cloud computing, and running an app in a browser.

Seriously, it's a ridiculous article.

Chromebooks are great for what they are meant to be. A bit overpriced right now, but no more so than any Mac.
