Could you elaborate what Samsung offers better?

I personally wouldn't go with Samsung, too close to Apple. But, take for example their current generation of 9.7" tablets. The Samsung tablet pretty much matches or betters every iPad spec.

Sorry about formatting:

Samsung Galaxy S2 :: iPad Air 2
Dimensions 9.34 x 6.65 x 0.22 inches :: 9.45 x 6.67 x 0.24 inches
Weight 13.83 oz :: 15.41
Screen size 9.7 inches :: 9.7 inches
Resolution 1536 x 2048 pixels ::1536 x 2048 pixels
Processor Octa-core, 1900 MHz ARM Cortex-A57 + ARM Cortex-A53 :: Triple-core, 1500 MHz, Cyclone
RAM 3GB :: 2GB
Front camera 2.1MP :: 1.2MP
Expansion microSD :: none
MSRP price $499 :: $ 829
...

The saddest part of those specs if that Samsung dropped a better screen from the previous generation tablet to match Apple's screen in this generation. Congrats, Apple fans, the iPad air does have a larger battery.

As with most things, it depends on what you want to do with the device. Just want a device that "works" with a relatively safe app environment? Go with Apple. Just want to play games? Again, go with Apple. That is, unless you want to pirate all of your apps an games, then go with Android (I don't get the Apple/Samsung duality, here). Want to have some freedom? Go with Android. I personally have an iPad and an Android phone, and I see the benefits of each platform.

The Android environment is very safe.

Apple does have some games Android doesn't have, but the reverse is also true. If you're a gamer, the ultimate gaming tablet is Android, from Nvidia (at least if they come out with another model, any time now). But, seriously, what serious gamer is going to make a tablet his gaming rig?

Apple is just an obscene rip off, so I wouldn't by on regardless of any game.

What games are on Android that aren't on iOS?

There are apps for iOS that allow you to do that, too. Like KinoConsole and Moonlight. Try again?

Yeah, like those work so well. LoL.

If iOS is a better gaming platform, it's better for the same reason a fat, fridged wife is a better wife. She's not going to cheat on you because no wants her and she wants no one. Victory! iOS gets games first because there's no spice, no diversity, to worry about. You have just a few handicapped hardware devices to worry about. iOS gets games first because Apple owners are more easily parted from their money, having less fiscal sensibility (after all, they paid twice as much for similar Android hardware).

That's a complicated way of admitting you were mistaken.
